Performance drop out of nowhere?

I've been playing for some time now, and I have never had a single issue with the game. But In the past few days, out of nowhere, my loading times took a big drop and now it takes way longer to load in, and the FPS has also dropped significantly.

I used to load into West Coast USA in about a minute or so, now it takes good, 3 or so minutes for it to load in. But hey, loading time isn't that bad, it's annoying sure, but it's not that bad.

In game though, I used to have 80-90FPS depending where I am, with the lowest being high 60s.
Now I can barely get above 60FPS while in downtown.

I have updated my GPU drivers, deleted a bunch of mods, nothing worked.

    These are my specs:

    i5-8400
    16GB Ram @ 2666MhZ
    GTX 1070
The game is installed on a HDD. (I know this reduces loading speed and what not, but the game was always on my HDD)

I haven't noticed a performance drop in any other game except for Beam.

Try messing with the graphics settings, some of them can be causing this kind of lag. Turning wireframe mode on and back off resets all advanced settings for some reason so that can be useful.

It's an old graphics card. It hampers performance to some extent. I recommend changing to GTX 1650 or 1660. (I have 1650 myself)

Maybe you need to change your graphics card to a new one.

The 1650 performs worse than the 1070 And the 1660 Is only slightly worse
The 1660TI/Super performs the same as a 1070 but with less Vram

If OP is gonna get a new graphics card it would be better to go with a 2060 or 3060

i myself have a rtx 2060 but my intel is sucks, I have a intel i5-9400f and I'm planning to upgrade to i5-9600kf. From my role, CPU matters the most, if u have a bad CPU like mine and ur graphics are set to normal and have about 5-6 ai cars spawned in traffic u would see yourself around 60 to 70 fps not the best not under 60 at least! So I would have upgraded your CPU if its bad like mine
