I got 441w for your cpu and gpu, with your cpu overclocked (i guessed 1.3v), 1 hdd, 1ssd, 5x120mm fans and a blue ray drive. I have no idea what you entered.
But for that cpu and gpu (with appropriate overclocks) i got 370w. Somehow you managed to add 270w worth of extras.

I redid and got 592w. If I up to 40% cap aging I get 740w. :O (I do plan to run it 24/7 for a couple years. It's been near 24/6 for the past year easy. I might should have gone for one of ASUS's server class z87 boards.

With no capacitor aging selected, it says that my system uses 630W peak. I have a 500w PSU with no issues at all.. (It says my CPU uses about 240 watts at it's current clocks..)

That's probably not far off. A 9570 or whatever at 1.9v and 5.4Ghz was pulling ~400w.

Oh wow. If it really does draw that much power, then why does my PSU never trip or overheat like my old cheap one used to?

Adding it up in my head 250w for the CPU and 150 for the GPU gets to 400. You're probably pretty close. You've probably also never loaded p95 and furmark at the same time. :p I use a killawatt for measuring so it's probably off by ~20w in either direction.

EDIT: Some time about a week back I passed 400 posts on the ROR forums. Not bad for being over two years old there. I think it has one of the lowest post/day stats of any forums I go to.

Yes, but factor in the mess of fans and USB stuff, plus the AIO and the other stuff like north bridge and it would be around 500-550. I'll try P95 and furmark/kombustor at the same time tomorrow. Before my old PSU died from heat, it was tripping when I increased the power target on my GPU and tripping due to heat during games like ETS2. (In fact, it died just as a convoy in ETS2 started.)

What's the voltage on the 8350? Wattage goes up exponentially. It bight be closer to 200. I have no earthly idea though. If you get hwinfo it might be able to monitor wattage. My 4670 tends to stay around 60w in games, up to 100 during stress. I'm not sure how accurate it is for AMD though.

I've been rendering this for over 100 hours now. :O

Scotland referendum today, let's see what happens. I'm waiting for Catalonia referendum on 9-November, even though spain government won't allow it, it's gonna be a really interesting day, we either vote, or we don't vote, the spanish government proves again that it isn't democratic and then people force new elections in the catalan government.

*8320, and it's at 1.55v right now. (I've had it as high as 1.625 I think.)

Police found out that the terrorists planned to grab a random passerby in Sydney, wrap an Australian flag around their head and decapitate them in front of hundreds of people.

At first i thought that was gonna lead to something funny. Like they wrap their whole body up like a burrito and push them into a fountain or something.
So yeah that took a turn I didn't expect.

the IS threat over in the middle east is sadly stimulating the far right movement over here. Apparently the actions of a few extremists are now representative of the entirety of islam which completely endorses child abuse and terrorism as fundamental concepts of the religion if you believe "Britain First" and unfortunately plenty of people seem to (to add to that, they also want homosexuals to burn in hell, hilariously disillusioned they are).

I am entirely against discrimination against a person based on race, religion or sexuality. To me everybody is the same and held in equal regard, that is unless either a) I get to know you as a mate or b) you're a total dick

    - - - Updated - - -

Actually, somewhat hilariously britain first went up to scotland to try and campaign to keep their country intact, they genuinely seemed to think scotland was a region of england rather than a country of its own controlled by british government. Bloody morons.

I generally feel sick about the Scottish referendum. Already voted no but I think a lot of people didn't. like... I want to go to F****ng uni and I can't afford to pay that S**t.

All of the neds have yes badges at my school and you ask them why they want the yes vote and they answer something like this : 'eh.. cos I hate England' no no no no no no no no no no no not a good enough F'ing excuse to leave the only reason we're not in debt.

If you think of it we're like a toddler -we live off of other people- and if we leave we wont know what to do because we haven't done anything to help ourselves it's like a baby wont just start walking it needs encouragement from someone else -government- to make a change.

Half of them haven't even been to England so they don't understand how much better off we are. we get something like £1,200 more per a head than England and that seriously adds up and free prescriptions.

    just aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

    /Rant

Expect more of me getting freaked out about the referendum today.

The way I see it, the EU already expressed that they don't want Scotland joining (No doubt Spain and France behind that one mainly, probably fearing that their own minor states will see scottish independence success as a morale booster and try to gain independence themselves - as with Catalonia trying to gain independence from spain) and have refused to allow an independent scotland access to the Euro at this moment in time. We've refused scotland to continue using the bank of england if they gain independence.

I get that many in scotland want independence. My personal opinion though is that it will immediately fail. You have no infrastructure of your own and no economy of your own and that isn't something that just appears overnight with a click of the fingers. Gain independence, bam, you have no economy or infrastructure. To me it makes more sense to attempt to develop a private infrastructure while still functioning under the UK as a safety blanket and only then gain independence.

Beyond that. I'm english, not scottish, so whether scotland are independent or not isn't something I care about too much (I'm not some purist that wants to clutch onto every last part of the union), its just something I don't see as making logical sense right now.

    Exactly that's what I mean.

I'm even more freaked now :

So my mum works in a shopping centre and yesterday someone came in claiming they were a reporter then they started asking where the escape routes would be if there was a riot and where everyone would muster (not questions a reporter would/should ask) so my mum called the police and told them what happened. The woman asking suspicious questions got arrested then she claimed she was staying in a hotel so the police went there and searched her room and they found no evidence to support her 'being a reporter' story.

    so.... yay! potential terrorist threat.

tbh If the no vote comes out victorious there will be riots, I'm sure of it. If there's a yes vote we will have a F'd up country.... Fun!

One of the things I'm worried about is what will happen to game servers because they're always EU or UK so if we go independent will it be; UK and the ones that Fucked off servers or EU and the ones that aint joining servers ?
