Front bumper added, i wont add a rear bumper. View attachment 41892 View attachment 41893 And a decent wireframe. View attachment 41894
Poly flow is decent but there are way too many loops cuts, especially along the front fenders and bonnet. Also the rear end is a bit too long or the roof ends too soon at the back not sure exactly with the angle.
It is a fantasy car anyways, so i would just let Pontiac do his thing. I also like the look of it. Haven't seen one complaining about the Sunburst being proportionally a bit off (too symetrical in my opinion, could be lower at the front), but hey it's from Gabester, so everyone just jumps the yay-train.
The new Moon Well wheels. From all of these progress id say its ready for an interior, i guess i have to start drawing the interior in a piece of paper. View attachment 41900
Its going to annoy me until you get it right, bolt the bumper to the chassis rails, otherwise there's no point in the bumper!
Rear wheel drive, 4 speed manual. UPDATE: Temporary pics of the interior of Moon Well, since i'm not proud of the look of the interior. Gonna add more details tomorrow. View attachment 41910
View attachment 41911 Kinda, its like an automatic style but you use the clutch to shift one at a time.
On a 1970's american coupe? - - - Updated - - - Ah, okay. Cool, never seen one of those in a real car before
Not sure how that would work mechanically, if you look up how a manual gearbox works it kinda shows why we have H pattern shifters.
I recommend using a "normal" shifter for the car, since you don't see that kind of shifter IRL unless it's an automatic. Something like this: View attachment 41912 EDIT: also, what 6677 said.
Its an imaginary manual shifter and that's how i like it. Its like everyone is comparing imaginary cars and cars that exist, cant i make something from my imagination? I wanna be unique when i make my cars.
The problem with it is that it isnt mechanically possible. Don't get me wrong, its a pretty cool setup, its just I cannot see how on earth it would work. - - - Updated - - - Actually on 2nd thoughts I've thought of a way it *could* work, it would make for a heavy throw though.
That's why its from my imagination, i don't even expect my car to be built in real life with that kind of shifter.
