Seeing how its 3 months cycle again. I think it ( creator_program ) will be updated soon. Seeing it will be 3 months on the 15th ( i think it was the 15th ) of June. if not i think by now a dev would of told us by now. Dont forget the screen shot where Tdev posted the J-beam editor. Also when he said the lock i think it is the freeze. AKA get it to a playable state. Give it to the creator( creator_program ) Then we get hyped. Devs have fun by tease us. Then about 2 weeks later. hands on cold hard Covet remaster
I hope the game loading time is improved. I just timed it on my gaming computer (loading into italy) and it was a hair below 1 minute. the specs of my computer 20GB DDR3 Samsung HP OEM sata SSD boot drive Samsung 970 EVO Plus (game drive) GTX 1060 AMP! Intel Core l7-3930k
Beamng is a little slow though. In any other game I can go from desktop to gameplay in 30-45 seconds. In beamng it's at least 2 minutes.
I know your talking to the other guy but My mods made a 10 seconds difference With 300-some mods- 1:05 Vanilla- 55
I have about 140 mods and it usually takes 2-3 mins to load (never timed it exactly) but I’ll also admit I’m a bit under specced (Dell Inspiron laptop from 2019 with a i7, but integrated intel graphics and running windows 10 64 bit). Considering my specs I’m not complaining, in fact I actually find it faster than I expected. The fan gets loud if I load a big map with lots of stuff like west coast, and I’ll only get 10-20 fps depending on where I am in the map but regular sized maps work fine with little lag and about 60 fps
The game performance is getting less and less mod dependent, I remember some updates ago saving a config with 50+ mods active could take several minutes and now it's almost as fast as with 0 mods, map loading times also seem faster. So there's some optimization there, but the entire game is just getting slower regardless of mods because more content is added, that's normal.
I have around 25-30 mods and it takes usually 30 seconds to load WCUSA or ECUSA Reworked/ECUSA but on utah or other maps it takes 20 secs maybe 45 at most for all maps
Where's the issue? Low-poly baked meshes have been used in games since the dawn of times as a way to cut on performance loss, especially with rock walls like these
i have 3 mods and it takes around 2 mins for any map to load, and if i want to play without constant lagging i have to remove all the grass from the ground textures and tire marks [but, the main reason for all that, could be that i play on a older lenovo laptop, probably not the best idea,]
I feel like people will zoom in on anything and say "needs remaster" or "bad graphics" when in reality: This is a vehicle simulator, you will almost always be moving. Which means textures like these are perfectly adequate for a little wall on a giant map. If this was a close quarters first person shooter going for realistic graphics, I could see the point, even though I care less about visuals than gameplay.
