Update Speculation thread

Remember, the fhances of getting a Friday update are low, but never zero.

Can someone remind me what page tdev answered the questions on?

 

What has me considering it is the fact that this update is much smaller than the last one and seems to consist mostly of stuff that was meant to come out last time, but got delayed because of a certain Italian sports car. There isn't as much content for creators to cover (or find game-breaking bugs in) so a quicker turnaround is to be expected, but we don't know how quick. We're looking at:

• Covet remaster. Lots of content there but it's still a small car, and only one major new model is confirmed (Mr. Turbo). I wonder if there will be a diesel model.
• Tire thermals. It is what it is, not a whole lot to show in a video.
• PostFX improvements. Those will quickly become apparent in any video and can be demonstrated just by playing the game.
• Under the hood optimizations and technical changes that no player would notice in any way other than better framerates.
• Possibly refueling. This has been hinted at but not confirmed.
• Probably not career mode or the update would have been substantially delayed by now.
• Probably not paint scratches, as we've seen a wrecked Mr. Turbo rally car with no evidence of such.

I could probably make a video about all this in about a day or so.

 

Boy would I love to see the update next week, I don’t think it’s gonna be tomorrow that’s too quick

 

We need that guy with list of updates in every day of week. Funny will be if they release update when no one expect it

 

Tomorrow is indeed very unlikely considering the Creator branch just got updated today, and considering the general unlikeliness of Friday updates due to the devs not working on weekends. Likely it'll be next week, but it's my birthday tomorrow so I'm still holding a bit of hope for a good birthday present.
