“v8_cross_02_engine” and “v8_cross_02_exhaust” Be aware, it leans very far towards an American V8 type of sound, I imagine it will be used for the Bastion.
Thanks c: On the side topic, what are the effects of these, except volume which is obvious? Especially interested in max stress value
So yes, sequentials are supported. What you're hearing in the GT7 example is the sound of the gearbox changing gear rather than the sound of the shifter switch.
These are suspension setups - my notes: {"soundFile":"event:>Vehicle>Suspension>legacy>spring_compress2", - the FMOD event to play "volumeFactor":0.8, - the volume coef/multiplier used to scale the impulse value to withing the RTPC value 0 - 1 "colorFactor":0.5 - reduce the overall volume by up to 10dB 0 = -10dB, 1 = 0dB "attackFactor":10, - envelope attack - the smaller the value the slower the attack "decayFactor":20, - envelope decay - the smaller the value the slower the decay, the higher the number, the quicker the decay/release of the sound "pitchFactor":0.25, - a pitch bend coef for that sound based on the impulse, the higher the number the more pitch bend within the impulse. "maxStress":3300 - used for normalising the input / beam stress which comes from physics - leave this value for Corey/vehicle guys and just use volumeFactor for getting the RTPC range between 0-1
Really? Because I changed the sample name in the engine jbeam to them and was able to hear them. (I like the I3_3 better than the I3_2)
RTPC, envelope, pitch bend. . . Yeah well, roughly understood, im already at 250 volume and it's not enough for me (gt3 car, which is empty box), will try to mess with others, extreme noize factor seemed to completely remove all bumping. Thanks a lot
I think he just meant that they aren’t used for anything yet. You can use them, but they aren’t used for anything vanilla.
Yo, any chance you could record and upload it to YouTube for our hearing pleasure? I can't guess why they would use i3 sound, but imo i6 diesel may be used for etk remaster and V8 for bastion Thanks in advance
Not YouTube, but I’ve got a Google Drive link for ya! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1q9XgG0mEOGcnuVudtvUgjtSh44vjO043/view?usp=drivesdk This is only the V8 sound, but I can record some others for you later.
Holy balls that charger whine That v8 is pure aphrodisiac Reminded me of carbon era V8 sounds Thanks a lot man!
6-7k sounds reasonable, especially for an American V8. Plus, it sounds like a larger pushrod-type engine, rather than an engine like a Coyote that can rev to 8,500 with a valve train upgrade. One small gripe I have with it, I wish the idle was more like something similar to what you hear out of a Hellcat or the like, the current idle seems very muffled and kind of truck like, even with no muffling.
Just throwing a question here. Is more "editable" sound system planned? With some tutorial to it. (maybe adding sweep support)
There is a modding template planned. But we need to be very sure that our mixer layout won't change, which is quite difficult as the game evolves a lot. I think once we have the ray casting and cockpit filter sorted out, we'll be in a much better position to do this. Sweep support? As in RPM sweeps and granular synthesis.... that's a completely separate issue, and the current tools available to create sweeps are not free to the end user.
If it’s not to much to ask, would you mind giving me a short explanation on what ray casting (and maybe cockpit filtering is)? I don’t know much about this topic but it sounds interesting
