So this is my second map. I got the idea for this map when i was driving in my hometown and i thought that it would be cool to have some fast finnish roads in beamng. :D

I started working on this map week ago and here is some progress:

    terrain 100% finished
    textures 100%
    roads 100%
    trees and rocks...100%
    screenshot_00021.png screenshot_00018.png

    Programs used Torque3d and L3DT.

    Credits:
    BBQ for road texture
Beam ng team for all objects and ground textures
    Me putting all together :D

I dont know how it works on experimental, but in stable version should be ok.

For experimental just put the countryroads folder into content/levels.

Small update: worked on some hills and ditches and there is so much left to do with the roads :/. I noticed that ditches i made today are way too deep :D. I forgot to tell in the first post about the racetrack, so here is some pics:

Looks good so far, but just one thing: I don't think Finland uses double yellow lines, so you should use some other texture. I have one that you can use if you're interested.
I can adjust the colour of the asphalt to the normal blue-grey colour if you want to.

Thanks! Your texture looks very nice but in finland we have continuous white line on the edges of road like this
road.jpg and we only use double yellow on areas where it's forbidden to pass other vehicles. Btw did you make northern sweden map? :D

I could modify the texture to have solid white lines. And yes, I made Nothern Sweden. :)

Okay, thanks :). In my opinion northern sweden is one of the best maps in beamng, I absolutely love it! :D

Sides of the roads are almost done (few kilometers left :D). I was thinking of adding more asphalt roads but I dont know..:/ I think more roads = more fun, but much more work also :D. What do you guys think? :)

More roads are fun yes. Put your own originality into the roads and be imaginative! Lots of uninspiring roads a great drive does not make.

Here is some progress, after hours and hours of terrain editing terrain is almost finished. I made new asphalt road, because I wanted to connect all the asphalt roads and make them like ring road or something :D. And new spawn location. :)

Just an idea but you could make the highway split underneath the bridge. Would be tough to get a road split looking right but with some jersey barrier
could be a wrecking dream. Looks nice so far!

Road splitting would be hard for me, but barrier middle of the road "splitting" would be cool :p

I just added barriers under the bridges and in one intersection. It was so cool to crash them while drifting and going about 160 kmh :D. Thank you Aboroath for the idea! :)
