Yeah a Hilux / Ranger sized, Australasian utility would be fantastic.

A mid sized Asian truck would make a lot of sense to pair with an Australian/Mexican/African map, and I am getting Taco vibes from the styling

also with the offroad bumper you cant have the bash bar and the bigger protector where you can add the lights (forgot the name of it) or just the offroad bumpers with light Accessoires something akin to hella or led lightbars and maybe more Offroad and Onroad tires like 80s or 90s sport tires, 4 season tires (these arealready on the scintilla and bastion 20x... available but would be cool to see on more wheels aswell) , those sand dune paddle tyres, dedicated winter and summer tires, maybe rain racing tires.

This is some sort of fallacy. Taking his words, exaggerating them to something he never said and then rebutting that made-up argument because it's more convenient. He didn't say he only wants "the most unique things". There are plenty of vehicle classes we still don't have in-game. And I'm not speaking of rare or unique classes but everyday vehicles you see on the road.
So yes, I can see his point.

While another trophy/prerunner pick-up truck is also not something I'm specifically looking forward to, it makes one think that maybe there is more to it. Since it was said that the new map will be sunny and dry, it could also be something Dakar Rally inspired as in north africa or even saudi-arabia. I see you guys are already speculating about africa! Pardon me!

Reading the discussion about what Beam is to different people, it got me thinking about the bigger picture. Seen some write about them not wanting it to be the next sim-racer, which it really doesn't have to be, but it can have some of the elements for sure. We all know tire thermals are comming.
It also got hill-climb/off-road elements with deforming tires and (possible) deformable terrain at a later point yet not everyone plays the game the same way.
We all like different things about it and we all get a bit of that.

I'm also curious to know, with the new hydraulics system, if there will be some construction vehicles in the future. They would fit the 'vehicle simulator' theme and add possibilities for logistics missions as well. Maybe even some fork-lifts and the like. :)

Since this amazing game has kept going from 2013 onwards, I question myself every now and then what the end-goal will be.
A finished career mode? No, many people don't even care about that. (Me excluded! Can't wait to see what's next for career!)
Sandbox goofy fun? The most detailed driving simulator? A crash physics simulator? A roleplaying game even?
Hell, if it's a mix of all of those, I'm all in and happy to see it grow.

    Are we gonna ignore these?

Maybe it's because i don't live in a particularly big town, but I've never seen a rocket bus picking up passengers and taking off at 400+ km/h

Given that we already have the large wheels as props, it is possible.

I wouldn't be so eager, consider the MR turbo teasers before 0.25, or the K-series teasers before 0.26, it seems that they've shifted to teasing content in its early phases, that is still 2 updates away (i'd guess for the sake of gauging community feedback before they're too far into development).
considering we know jared's already tied up with the class 5 autobello (possibly for 0.27), i'd say this "modern bruckell trophy truck possibly with a roadgoing version" is most likely slated to be finished for 0.28.

or 0.29, considering that if it has a road going version too, it would need a ton of parts/configs to make it seem complete.

Yeah, it’ll definetly take some time, at least 0.28. I guess we’ll just see the k/800 series remaster and maybe the Autobello Version but just 1 major remaster this time

He asked "what's the point of another X", where X is something in a class of things we already have and used that to suggest a trophy truck is not necessary because we have a prerunner...

Is "modern cars" not another analagous class of things which we already have in game? He is saying a trophy truck and pre runner are too similar because they are off road trucks. It seems to me that his logical process would result in conclusions of the same sort to any two vehicles in the same niche, for example the Bastion and the Vivace as both modern volume street cars with performance trim levels at similar market pricing. If a presumably modern tube frame trophy truck and a 1980's caged frame pre-runner are too similar and we apply the same standard across the board then most street cars are to eachother as well and it's going to be a struggle to find anything that can differentiate itself enough to justify.

No i didnt say they are to similiar because they are both offroad vehicles. You added that to your argument which is just wrong.
I only said what is the point of having another Trophy/Prerunner Truck.
    Not more, not less.
    Plain and simple.

In this comment you suggested that the new vehicle is too similar to the pre-runner to justify it

As I said, if a modern tube frame rig is too similar to a 40 year old caged frame rig then the standard for what is justifiably differentiated from existing content would seem to be very strict

Something I noticed. One of the dev's posted the video on their instagram, and did #hopper, #jeepwrangler, #jeep. This might mean that its not a truck, it might be a Hopper.

My best attempts at turning up the exposure in Photoshop. Looks very Toyota Tacoma-y to me!

It's 100% a pickup, doesn't look like the Hopper at all
Unless it could be a Gen 2 Hopper with more body styles available including a pickup but that's a far stretch.
