Apples and oranges, my friend. I drive my old '95 Chevy K2500 (one of the very obvious inspirations for the D-series) 6.5l diesel all the time, it's sluggish even with the little turbo GM shipped these things out with. Drove a few of the older 6.2l NA squarebodies too -- the difference in power, torque, and acceleration is very obvious even without a load or trailer. Don't forget that these old pickups were meant to work hard.

Well, with 63 CV ya aint moving a truck that big, once again, you would need a bigger engine. Also, truth be told, these engines must be paired with very short transmisions and final drives. As an example, my car touches roof at 145 km/h and has enought torque to cruise town at 50 km/h in 5ยบ gear doing about 1k rpms, going as low as 35 before it starts to stall. And before you ask, yes, it will rev up from that if you give it some foot to work it no problem. Thing is, this makes them horrible highway cruisers, since they dont like to go for hours doing 3.1 k rpms to maintaing 120 km/h. Or at least it makes them very thirsty compared to secondary roads 90 km/h speed limit. The D series being from the US of A, probably has a final drive longer than it needs to "balance" highway mpg with everyday use, thus the slugish feel, also, auto traines dont really play good with them.

    ---EDIT---

I just started to play around to see if I can make a D series have a similar final drive than my car, short answer. Yes I can. Turns out that if both gearboxes are the same, to make D series rev up like my car, It needs the 4.44:1 final drive. AKA the shortest. Guess it splains a lot about this problen. I doubth that there isnt any production pickup made with a 4.44 as a stock final drive with a NA diesel. But even then, the only diesel is the humogous one in the game with a turbo. Give me a quick minute while I make a "no turbo" turbo option.

    ---Edit 2---
Also, I realize than this can also be a problem of perspective. As an european, 120CV is a lot for a car to have, but our driving conditions are vastly diferent than the US ones, so, maybe that plays a roll too. So what can feel slugish for you guys, can feel good or even fast for me.

We need a facelift-only Luxe trim (aka GMC Sierra Denali, Lincoln Blackwood, Mark LT, or Cadillac Escalade EXT)

It'd be more realistic if there were RPM gauges without a redline (both 1986-1997 and 1998-2003)

Actually, the 4.3L V6 did NOT begin in 1988, it was actually in 1985.

I hate to change the subject on y'all, but as a Mopar guy, I really wish the D-Series had some Dodge Ram "flavor". Yes I know it's based off of Chevy and Ford designs, but I think it would be cool if it had interchangeable parts that could make the truck like a mix of the best of the Big 3. Anyway, thanks for reading this lol.

Bruckell still needs a truck, and that would suit their brand flavor more than Gavril. Besides, with modern off road being an important empty niche, a modern pickup being pne of the most requested vehicles (and they have been chipping away on those with the Bastion and Civetta back to back), and the Basion's engines now available in the common folder, I think this is likely for the next vehicle

You make a very good point. And remembering back to when they did the D-Series remaster, certain parts were not added due to the sheer amount of parts and configurations that are already part of the truck. Having a Bruckell pickup truck would be awesome. And I do see what you mean by it being more fitting for the Bruckell brand too, since the Bastion is basically supposed to be a Dodge Charger at heart.

Sorry for the bump, but I just discovered what could be a limitation of the game engine, or hopefully it's just a bug.
When I equip 4 lights (quad mixed lights) on the roll bar, some of the light leaks onto the dashboard when I turn on high beams.

    screenshot_2022-09-03_14-54-35.png screenshot_2022-09-03_14-54-39.png

As you can see, I also installed light guards on the lights. I tried to fix this light-leak problem by removing the roof rack, changing the lighting configuration, and changing the light accessories, but unless I install light covers, the leak still occurs.

It's not a game-breaking thing obviously, but I really can't unsee it. I'm pretty sure this doesn't happen in real life, right?

Unfortunately your first assumption is correct and this is a game engine limitation, the way it handles lights is not perfect. On every police and service vehicle you can similarly see the light bar lights in the interior. Maybe it will be fixed some day.

You can also see the light beams of the service vehicles below immobile objects and props like walls and the Concrete Retaining Wall and this shouldn't be happening either.

They aren't going to make a vehicle just because you said so. It takes a ton of work.
