Update Speculation thread

I believe it's gonna be either the Prerunner or the Unimog-type Truck. Apart from the November 8th teaser, we've known about the Piccobuggy since September and the new map has already been teased twice this week, so I think that it's the turn of something else to be teased in a little bit more detail.

 

hopefully, a teaser of the etk since we've had a teaser from long back.

 

At this point I'd just be happy with some proper names to refer to all these trucks by

 

ahhh finally the Suzuki Jimmy/Chevrolet Tracker!!!!

 

That'd definitely be very cool, but complicated to make I think. It takes a lot of thought to make a racetrack, much less a super-long track like that one. But it'd definitely be cool to see, especially as an expansion of the ETK Proving Grounds.

 

Exactly. The main road of the ETK map has got some potential for being a connection between the ETK Driver Experience Center and the Autobahn on one end and a couple of small traditional German villages on the other. The ETK DEC map has this potential in general.

 

even though it probably wont happen, i think the next teaser will be a remaster of the SBR4,

 

So are we getting 2 new vehicles soon? The ETK Utility Van and Baja Prerunner truck I guess? And on top of that a SBR4 crawler because.. why not? And a new map. Seems pretty hype

That's a lot of content, I doubt it'll drop this month. My guess is Dec 26.

Historically speaking, the main holiday update has usually been between the 15th and 21st (some years had 2 December updates with one of them in this range and the other outside the range).

• 2015: 0.5.0 was the 18th with 0.5.1 on the 30th
• 2016: 0.8.0 was on the 21st
• 2017: No December Update (edit: It was on US Thanksgiving this year)
• 2018: 0.15.0 was on the 20th
• 2019: 0.18.0 was on the 9th and 0.18.3 was on the 19th
• 2020: 0.21.0 was on the 15th
• 2021: 0.24.0 was on the 2nd and 0.24.1 was on the 20th

 

Then lets hope we dont have another 2017 on our hands this year because thats a whole lot of content for like a 1 to 1.4 months left of time.

 

2017 had an update on US Thanksgiving. So every year we've had something for the holiday season.

Looking at the teasers so far, the Piccobuggy and mystery car/truggy probably will be ready, maybe even the map too. There's been 3 years already the team split the holiday update if some things are cutting it close. Even if half of all this content gets pushed entirely to 0.28 it'll still be a fairly big update.

 

There's no way the map will be ready. Other maps had multiple teasers of in-game footage well before they were released. So far we have seen concept art and one screenshot.

 

The last time we got a full proper map was 0.15. They've changed how they tease content a lot since then. Back in the days of Utah/WCUSA/Italy we would get teasers of map content for literally years before release, and vehicles were also teased far in advanced. Nowadays they really don't tease anything further out than "update after next".

 

I wouldn´t go that far this time.
Since the sheer amount of content teased my take is they just working more efficently today and/or staffed up so more work simultanouesly done!
But thats just my speculation.

 

to update my earlier post, because i forgot about derby arenas, all the US maps, [hirochi raceway.1, small island.2, east coast.3, west coast.4, utah.5, port/industrial.6, derby arenas.7, and new one with rexy.8,

 

I will be happy just with a Remaster of any car ( maybe that ETK ) . The Pickle buggy. And then the next update maybe marchish to be the massive one
