Update Speculation thread

Yeah, Teaser Thursday happened again 2 years ago, on December 10th 2020, when the 0.21 was about to drop, and the D-Series Prerunner in its Late form (denoting the remastering of the whole vehicle) was teased back then.

 

Maybe the update is so big that it won't fit in one Teaser T/[ehru]{2,3}/sday? It would have to have been in the works since at least the middle of 0.25's lifespan if it's as big as it looks

 

Somehow I completely missed that there was a small off-road-only vehicle in the works too. Devs going crazy over here

 

We didn't just miss this, we had no idea it was actually being prepared.

 

is it a new thing ? lets speculate about it

 

Prerunner, piccobuggy, gas-station buggy, ETK van, cutesy AATV...those devs are working their butts off. I wonder if this was one of those super long in the making updates. If this is all a DLC I won't be surprised.

 

I doubt they would make a DLC.

i think raising the price is better than doing a DLC i just find DLC's kinda scummy

 

Quite frankly, given how this game is still in development after all those years, I'm happy they haven't turned to any form of subscription model.

 

Yeah, its about time they raise the price of the game.
With all this effort 21.99 Euro on steam is really a steal.

 

Yeah, hopefully they raise the price by a good margin whenever they're out of early access. I'd say 30/40 would be great. 20 really is a steal

 

I'm pretty sure that there won't be DLC until the 1.0 release, and after that i'm more than happy to buy all the DLC's they release.

Can we not get into this here? I can guarantee that they meant no harm by saying “he” over she/they, and honestly it shouldn’t be that big of a deal anyways.

Anyway, I agree that this update might be split in 2 like last year. The big question is which half of the split gets the map. It looks done from what we've seen, but who knows for sure. The Bastion looked done before the first one last year and we still got it in the second.
