when people see the esbr wheels - "oh nice wheels" me seeing the esbr wheels - "umm yess cheese grater"
People are forgetting that we’re getting a BIG teaser tomorrow. What do you guys think we’re getting?
I mean, Leeloo herself had said something BIG was planned for tomorrow, and I don’t suspect that she’d downright lie to us like that. --- Post updated --- Potentially a map + vehicle combo teaser.
The SBR coupe mod/KJLP should be vanilla. The SBR coupe makes the body look less boxy and more sporty, and the KJLP facelift does the same edit: I just said this because others were also talking about the SBR/SBR mods
Welcome to today's edition of "Using the Update Speculation thread for suggestions instead of actually providing something useful to the conversation"!
Generally, promises of teaser content are not particularly reliable. It's not so much a lie as an honest mistake when they turn out false, Leeloo is busy with a million other things (like making the actual marketing material for the update) and keeping this one thread satisfied is probably pretty low on the list.
I mean kinda you are wrong. Devs look and try people mods. They see how community react on moded type of vehicles. So speculating that devs can get inspired by someones mod and add it in somehow changed form into update is still good speculation because they done that before. Now kinda off-topic but people, stop saying that "Update Speculation Thread" is bad. World is changing so this thread also, new people come and go. We can't hold on to some state from the past when people writing here were different because we'll start sounding like one politician and our quote will be "Make Update Speculation Thread Great Again".
No. Making assumptions based on (presumably) your own wishes isn't speculation, it's suggestion. And it doesn't have its place here as it doesn't help anyone. The whole point of an update speculation thread is to speculate. I have never held any sort of "make x thread great again" speech and I have no idea where you got that feeling from, as it certainly wasn't from me. "The world is changing" excuse makes zero sense. This thread has a purpose and that specific purpose should be respected. Otherwise it's called off-topic and probably has its own place elsewhere, just not here. Read the first post of this thread, those are the rules for it. Not the ones you make up.
Moving on... Big things... Probably not the trophy truck, XTV, or Piccobuggy since we've had a good look at all of those. The only way I could see any of these getting teased tomorrow is a preview of the dev blog video. While we have had a good look at the Autobello Bello, we've only seen one pretty generic config. With how versetile this machine is, there's a lot we could still see. That T-Rex buggy is still effectively a giant question mark, as is much of the new map. Both of those are fair game. Then there's some entirely unforseeable stuff. Another new vehicle? Word on the K-Series? Some physics stuff like ropeables or tire thermals? Or my favorite option: Giant mechanical Rexy that the player can control like a Robosaurus
I would add to that some form of remake of how the game engine deals with water? Because of the otter being amphibious, but then we’re not certain it comes in this update (although it’s already in the game for Leeloo to take screenshot of). And maybe I’m wrong about them needing to change something, but all the floating things I’ve seen are buggy in some form because of some quirk with the game engine that they need to pass over, like explain here for the beaver mod: https://www.beamng.com/threads/problems-with-pressure-groups.72678/
What we really need is a JDM version of the SBR and all the other Japanese cars. I thought was pretty weird that the Pessima didn't get a JDM spec, but I hope the old Pessima gets one at least.
You know you’ve screwed up when you say “this mod should be vanilla” and the creator of the mod says “shut up you dummy dum dum.”
In my opinion almost no mods should be vanilla, the devs have their own carefully planned ideas for the game and random mods could mess them up, not to mention that most mods would have to be largely redone to reach the vanilla quality, in that case the devs could just use it as inspiration. If a mod is very good already AND is something that they were already planning to add, then why not, but that seems like a really rare case, didn't happen with any vehicle mods yet.
Yeah I 100% get that, just found it it ironic that the first person to lecture that guy on “that’s a suggestion not a speculation” was the creator of the mod.
