This is what the lack of expectation managment causes, and it's not usual dev behaviour to have these issues, devs used to release teasers sporadically and leave again so it'd leave us in the dark for far too long, I'm happy that Leeloo is doing all this havoc she's doing, she at least is making us be more in touch with what's happening, just lacking a little bit of expectation managment
Yes but that show that one of them is purpose built as an off-road car. And not just a variant of a normal one, like for the d series. That’s what I’m saying and thinking.
Speculations says this car is based on the SBR4 --- Post updated --- None of the teased cars are variations of in-game cars tho, all of them seem to be unique (with the exception of the suposed SBR 4 car, but it has a fully custom chassis)
Ok so i think here are all the things that's created this tension 'over hype' of teaser tuesday random buggy that's probably there just to create some extra interest in a literal desert people getting mad because they wanted ingame stuff some unhappy due to not seeing any physicist stuff poor response from dev team back lash from the community due to response (EXTRA BAD MOVE) responding to that back and fourth and nooooowwwww were here... (also if this was handled better we could of had a k series type thing where there was a teaser but no dice fort the actual update)
I'd change only about the "extremists" about Physics Tdev came here, did a Q&A, confirmed a lot of Physyics changes and improvments, including tire thermal for 0.26, and then we got radio silence from the devs regarding anything physics related after 0.26 released
Spoiled? Grateful we're getting anything? I hate when people say this crap, no one is acting spoiled. We aren't children getting toys on Christmas and acting out when we don't get a damn iPhone, we're (not including me, honestly, I didn't get my hopes up) just extremely disappointed after getting hyped up (as I previously predicted). That's like getting a little disappointed when food is hyped up to be good @ a restaurant and it ends up being dog poo, that isn't spoiled, it's severely disappointed. The second bit is 100% true. Also, I would be quite sad if Rexy and his twin don't become props that we can bring on road trips, through it seems Rexy is nothing but a static object.
The devs here have a great approach, a more informal relationship with the community. I like that. I feel like jumping on them if the teaser or update isn't 100% what they said, or 100% what you like is a bit of a poor show. Who cares if it doesn't have everything. It's a game. One that most of us bought for about £20 years ago, but still get updates for. I definitely agree that people are sounding spoilt here. The word entitled comes to mind.
If that ATV pictured in the concept art teaser doesn't come at all, yeah, I'll be disappointed. After all, we have already gotten acquainted with the general idea of the new map over the past 3 weeks, whether in concept art or in real teaser form. But this doesn't mean that I won't get truly excited when the new map enters the game in the 0.27. But, in general, over the past 4 years I have been owning and playing the game, I have formed the impression that BeamNG never teases something that's never gonna be part of it in an imminent update. It either teases something that's gonna be part of the game or it straight up shows it to us as a positive surprise right when the update drops (like what happened with the FCV Tograc).
Damn, that sucks. Hyping up people with a photoshopped, real image of a real vehicle and then telling your entire community it isn't coming How the hell would you not expect it to backlash??
to play advocate, it is kinda a literal desert and needed something, though YES the new truck probably would have been best HOWEVER this picture could have been in design for some time before the trucks and stuff were ready, idk
As I said earlier, I don't mind having concept art or anything, the issues was the devs lack of Expectation managment for the community, Leeloo said she was preparing something awesome for this teaser and we got a nice artwork, but the hype she created around that line wasn't well managed, as the vehicle isn't gonna be in game and the map is one we already got other 3 looks at, including with video
I get most of it and the disappointment, but backlash is a bit much. This isn't a DLC or anything, and I reckon there's already more than enough vehicles in production. I DO, however, find it odd that a vehicle not to be put in-game was used in a game teaser rather than the Bello Buggy or Autobrick.
the only difference is that the real one doesn't have as much tire dirt,[which the devs probualy added for looks] and the fact that the real on has drivers which if the devs kept that people would say [OfFiciAl PEoPLe!!]
Whether it's "proof of concept" or not is irrelevant. There is quite a difference between showing concept art and photoshopping a real vehicle into your game to generate hype...
