I know that feel. Had my HD 7970 die on me. I shipped it off on the 9th, it's getting back this Thursday. (The 2nd) I'm not even sure it will work as they are known for shipping back cards they just looked at and said "it's not crushed."

G.Skill has a proper lifetime warranty on their products. If they can't find a duplicate they'll usually give you something better.
