there should be an update that make the car customizable using studio 2.0 --- Post updated --- WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DUMMY ANIMATION, DAMN GOOD JOB!
This is a revolutionary mod already. Never thought I would get to make a lego car in beamng! The amount of features it has as a demo is nuts! It was a little tricky to get the car together, but I got it done. Who needs Brick Rigs when you got this!
Turns out that I made the chassis a bit too stiff and if you put too many heavy parts on it some beams break, I fixed it now in my version. Try to attach less parts for now and avoid using several big heavy pieces if possible (like the spoiler combined with biggest wing). If you want many parts then remove the dummy because it's over 60kg alone.
I do like the customizable part of it, but it would be nice to see presets made by you for quicker access, rather then needing to make your own (which is cool)
Of course full version will have presets, this is just a demo and I felt like doing this experiment for it to see how people will react and what they will build, so far I see mostly positive responses although understandably other people don't like having to build the car themselves
Ok that makes more sense! You''ve done a wonderful job at making this, very impressive. Excited to see the final release!
i'm exited too --- Post updated --- i was just thinking about it, but is there gonna be a lego dummy mesh for walking mode?
That would just be a weirder version of my mod that adds a normal dummy to it, I don't really see a point in making it
i was just thinking about it, but is there gonna be a lego dummy mesh for wal idk too but it could be fun --- Post updated --- and useless
loving this mod! tho i cant seem to get it to drive under it's own power but thats probably skill issue on my part lol
That's a sacrifise I had to make because the BeamNG aero system is not the best, each separate part in the game normally adds extra drag and this has lots of parts, I had to disable the air drag or else all the combined drag would make it super slow and generally less realistic, a side effect is that in water it also has no drag so it doesn't react to it. Maybe I can instead test it with a very small drag value instead of removing it completely but idk how much that would help. Will fix, thanks for reporting, with so many parts I had to miss something Most likely you didn't add the halfshafts
