There has been a ton of growth for BeamNG NASCAR in 2022, but there have been no NASCAR trucks. Well, that is about to change. I present to you the National Stock Truck Racing Association project. The goal is to make a lore friendly NASCAR Truck Series style truck that is fun to drive and nice to look at. So far all that exists is a chassis and part of an engine, but it's coming along well. *******Disclaimer*********************** This is my first time doing a vehicle mod for BeamNG, so there are probably going to be problems that I will need to learn how to fix. I also will need help learning how to actually put the truck in the game, but I'll deal with that when I get to that point in the process. If anyone actually knows how to do that, I would gladly allow you to help me with this project. ***********************************************NSTRA Backstory***************************** In the summer of 1984, several car dealership owners had a meeting in the Turbo Burger in West Coast, USA. Among the things on the agenda, the most important thing they discussed was the success of of the BSCRA stock car series. They liked the idea of racing stock cars, but wanted to do something slightly different . . . trucks. The following year, on July 21, 1985, the first ever NSTRA race was held on the quarter-mile oval in the Hirochi Raceway. The race was a success, and the NSTRA is still one of the most successful stock car series in the United States of BeamNG. Here is the progress I have so far:
The chassis just looks a little too small in my opinion but could just be me. It looks good for a first modeling start. I would def do another version or too and look for the best one.
Looks pretty good for a first time but I think for a nascar style truck frame its a little off This is a great diagram of an actual NASCAR truck frame they are basically the same as a cup/Xfinity there are a couple of ideas if you don't wanna model the whole frame

T Thanks!!! I worked on the chassis and I think it looks way better than it did before. The finished truck will be about the same size as the Solarpower07 Gen 6 car.
Yeah, but that is a task for another day because the bodies will probably be the last thing that I will model.
Will you add a little bar that sticks out above the windshield part on the frame like in irl? I’m pretty sure it’s for rollover safety, and it will stop the frame from crumpling above the windshield.
