Yea, a bit. Some of us are at least still somewhat active, like, I'm not well known, but I have been a member since, well, close to the beginning. I check the forums to see whats new and check on game progress, but I'm not as active post-wise as I was before. Just nothing that I feel I need to comment on. (Except this post obviously).
I typically only post when I have something useful to say unless it's in off topic or the folding thread. The folding thread is really just one large conversation between me, Bubbleawsome, and Hemi for the most part.
been here for 2 year's, maybe ill try to get into car modelling (expect a horrible shitty crappy model if i do, at least at first)
I miss the rigs of rods forums, But only because i have been posting with some of the other people there since 2009. Quite a few people there haven't moved to BeamNG for a variety of reasons and since i no longer have a reason to be there i don't ever see their names at the left side of my screen. I guess its just nostalgia. I was kinda hoping everyone would switch but the community here is quite different. I spent 5 years on the ror forums, 5 years is just over 1/4 of my life, i have played rigs of rods for about 1/2 my life. So its kinda weird when they just seize to exist any more in a significant way. I slightly regret not being active in the community outside the forums, it seems that a lot of cool things happen out there.
I think I know why, I know a lot of people were interested in the game before release, youtubers and regular people. I know that before the game was released, there was no reason to make an account unless you wanted to get involved. Now, you HAVE to make an account to access all the community mods in the .Drive section. I know for a fact the only reason Kurtjmac made an account was that he could make videos of community content. You never see his account in a thread. There are about 1000 -1500 people who actually "get involved" in the community. Excluding trolls.
Since we all have conversations and are like friends on here, it is just like having one of your best friends IRL slowly forget about you. *level 15963 deep*
I'm an old person here. I've been here for 2 years, and I remember when one guy (i forgot his username) posted ALL. THE. TIME. Also, I hate when the good people leave. I love it when peasants leave.
This forum has not yet got into the stage when good members leave because of the immature ones, but it will come at some point. Also there is no enough pissy people that have the skills to get a name and then piss on eveyone else from high. Take the RoR forum, for example. That is in advanced state of decay, and the community there is just bad. I hope this place won't get into that look any time soon.
I hated the community on RoR. There were a few good people but a lot of bad ones. Does anybody remember the people who kept creating duplicate accounts. I painfully remember someone who was called something like ZachCop or something??
