Those rims are not french enough --- Post updated --- You want a US spec version of a french version of a us car?
Maybe the US version of the Europe version of an US car could be a more "tamed" Bastion. (I think Chrysler does/did that, not 100% sure)
Engines already swapped by CH4RL3S: 2.0 I4, 2.5 I5. My speculation based on that: -No V6 (its role is taken by the I5, which is more Europe friendly) -There could still be a V8 option, but only a serious one (as to not overlap with the I5). I'm leaning towards a naturally aspirated and more finely tuned (comparing to the US Bastion) V8 rather than a supercharged one.
Spec the V8 down to lets say 4 Liters and let it make about 300 horsepower . It shouldn´t overshadow the I5 and is enough to move the vehicle without being very powerful for nowadays. My old first gen Audi A8 4.2 quattro barely made 300 horsepower with a weight of about 1800-1900 kg. Its sound plenty at first but it wasn´t so fast as it maybe sounds. Anyway that was just a humble suggestion!
The problem with "overshadowing the V8" is that the vanilla I5 has 350 hp in its lowest configuration. (Granted, Charles could detune it or reduce boost.) --- Post updated --- Did the mod maker say that in some private discord server. The V6 and I5 being offered side by side doesn't make sense (similar power). And it's sad if there is no V8, it could be an BMW ///M- I mean ETK ttSport competitor.
300HP for a modern 4 Liter V8 is relatively low it was just my suggestion to not overshadow the I5. My take: leave the I5 at its horsepower and give the imaginary 4.0 V8 450-500 Horsepower. That should place it just above the I5 if not the same but gives the buyer the choice if they rather like the tiny sporty european race bred motor or the big V8 because muh rumbles man. How does that sound?
This looks really good. Small naming suggestion, after looking at the renault range something like gravitas i feel would fit considering its latin blah blah. (sidenote: UK version?) --- Post updated --- i feel that it wouldn't be very euro 3 4 5 or whatever
yeah true, tho i know in the UK and more than likely other places there is a certain euro standard before you get taxed a certain amount, yes you can, but its not very economical
The point being ESPECIALLY with the price of petrol in Europe with the nearing of WW3, v8's (yes CAN be economical and no displacement does not = worse mpg) just aren't popular for the average person, plus a i5 sedan hasn't be seen since the t5 s60
Just i don't feel that a 2022 car would have a v8? i don't hate them but i would like to see a 5 pot (yes pull up all the examples if you want i just don't see the point)
There are plenty of V8s left in 2022 so i really can´t understand your point. There was never much sense putting a V8 in a normal day-to-day commuter vehicle. Doesn´t matter if the year was 1950 or is 2022
Three engine models I have ported over/remodelled in past few days. So far selection wise as of now there is 4 cyl turbo diesel, 4 cyl turbo, 5 cyl turbo and 6 cyl v6 twin turbo
