Not easily due to its unique engine position. a 90 degree V engine wouldn't fit well at all. a 60 degree V engine however could fit quite well, and be more quirky than the existing engines. Imagine a 60 degree air cooled V8 or maybe a V12. Would fit well within the lore as an engine swap I could imagine. Could also open up the possibility for another heavy duty Autobello, but bigger.

If we are going to have engines like I8s, Then we are going to need old Packard like cars from the 1940s and maybe the Burnside but since we are talking about the Stambecco here i would say a more powerful I6.

Just cram in a small long stroke V8
For example like one that revs to around 5500 stops making power @ around 5k, torque comes in around 3k and it displaces like 250-290CUI with like 350HP and 440lb/ft-tq.

Mod like that I would download right away 5 stars. IDC if the engine is properly modeled or just looks like one of the default models. At least I'd give 5 so long as it was able to be naturally aspirated. Thus far all the mod engines I can find all are forced induction with no way to remove it without modifying Jbeams(which winds up making the exhaust not work properly)

So I'm just waiting for someone to make some kinda 8 cylinder engine that is able to be N/A for the Stambecco.

I was thinking about adding the 3.5L air cooled V8 from the Tatra 613 would be a very cool engine to have in this thing. 168hp @ 5200rpm 199lbsft torque @ 3300rpm. Doesn't sound like a lot, I know but, I think it would kind of sorta fit into what realistically could be worked into this, especially with the air cooling.

If it was a 60 degree V angle this would be perfect. However, with its 90-degree V angle, there would be no space for the exhaust manifold on the bank of the engine that would end up on the right side of the vehicle. Because of the space which it would be in and the offset of the transmission, the exhaust ports of the V8 would be right up against the engine cover and the exhaust manifold would have to pass through the engine cover for them to fit. The pictures attached show what I mean. The factory inline 6 is laid down on its side for this reason, and the diesel is mounted at roughly a 30-degree angle with the exhaust ports facing the engine cover but not right up on it. We'd need a 60-degree V8 to fit it properly.

What a 90-degree V8 would end up like in the only way we could fit it:

What about a heavy duty 60 degree V6? it would be pretty short, I don't know if it'll make a big difference compared to the I6 tho.

I don’t think it would make much sense to have both the inline and V6. A V8 would be cool, and a V12 could also be very interesting, basically just being two of the gas sixes.

something like a downsized GMC twin six would be kinda fun lol, it would have to be very low displacement tho.
Honestly',the truck is fine with the I6 it's got, maybe a big ol' diesel 4 banger like a Perkins could be added, but I guess it wouldn't be very interesting.
It could certainly use some cargo, maybe gun crates and ammo crates in the back, or just supply boxes.

Something like a TD 4 Cylinder would be cool, could essentially be "we did this because the old motor blew up and we knew this one wouldn't blow up". Cummins 4BT anyone?

Yes a more powerful engine would be nice.

Maybe also add a simple automatic tranny or CVT :)
