in my opinion, physics like in MudRunner will be very difficult to develop, so this is a good alternative
Funny enough we had same problem with getting Wydra's tires to propel the vehicle through the water, so we added skinDragCoef to the list of parameters for colision triangles, would suggest giving it a shot.
So THAT is what that parameter does, you should have explained it back when it was added because it's not intuitive at all
this literally is speculation, we have slight evidence to show that deformable terrain could potentially happen soon, and this shows how we could realistically get it.
Between the note in the devblog, the random addition of a quary in WCUSA, and TDev's cryptic smiley faces I think it's safe to say something is currently in the works and planned for near* future release.
how did the beaver mod vehicle propel thru water without this coeff. value then? mod creator is also a member of beamng now he could shed some light.
thrusters, right? the beaver was pretty cheaty iirc. had a balloon-effect where you literally couldn't roll it, it would just go back upright.
I know I may be posting this a bit early but No teaser? I'm not mad, they probably don't have anything to show yet for 0.28 Just wondering Actual Speculation: I do think that 0.28 will be on-road focused Maybe we will get improved aero models and most certainly tire thermals Maybe better configs for racing
From the Twitch stream: Developers are still working on the ETK re-master/update, and from my understanding, the emphasis on "still" is on purpose to hint that content regarding this vehicle (or even vehicles) is going to be something big. Slight hint, but we might get more vehicles of various sizes and specifications - one of the developers mentioned that cars will have "different colours, wheel sizes, number of doors" etc. Quite excited for the future of vehicle-related content!
