Electric cars in this game don't have an off button for some reason. Most electric cars have the ability to turn the car off in the console, the other cars use key fobs, keycards, and phone apps. EVs can be turned off, although not through a key ignition. Maybe there should be a start-stop button for electric cars in this game. cherrier FCV electric versions have an inactive engine button
Although I don't disagree, there are cars such as the Tesla Model S that don't have a start button. However, I think it would fit the car better to have one.
About the tesla not having a start button, it uses a keycard, Bluetooth, or a phone app. A keycard/key fob for walking mode would require custom coding, phone/bluetooth isn't possible for the game. a special EV texture start button would probably be easy to do and better looking.
I mean... it could be a 'pretend fob' and 'pretend keycard'. These two could just be buttons like a regular start button or door opening, where when it is clicked the door opens/ car turns on. When I had test driven a Tesla, you had to press the keycard against the pillar behind the door. You also had to place the keycard where the phone charger was. Could be invisible until the car is started, and then the keycard would appear there.
hmm... a vehicle trigger on the inner side of the driver door maybe? The engine start button could be the pretend fob.
A realism feature The electrics on battery vehicles should (slowly) drain fuel. An alternator does exist on regular vehicles, but on electric vehicles, it's the same battery powering the engine that's powering the electrics. Tail lights should not count as those literally can't be turned off while stationary. The light bar, fog lights, and turn signals including hazard lights would count as well.
Working Airbags in the game pls? It would be very useful especially for those realistic driving crashing videos... I know some of the mods have them al ready but would be glad if devs officially release it in the game

There might be some mod for rain or working wipers but it would be great to see it by default in the game! Still our beamng devs are working hard and they never let us down with their amazing updates.
Undercover police cars should change color in traffic, they're too easy to recognize as police vehicles at the moment.
This is true for most cases, it would be nice to have a small chance for some darker red or blue colors, i’ve seen a red Crown Vic, a red Charger, and multiple Blue Chargers, and I know that Ford did manufacture many of their police cars in some form of red and potentially blue.
Noticed that AI doesn't really use JATO rockets, even on the wentward. When you have JATO rocket mods installed. AI should use JATO rockets if they are in the vehicle. would make things way more fun. Like, imagine seeing a police car heading towards you with full jato activated and absolutely destroying your car! LOL
As far as I remember it does use them in drag racing, so maybe there's a specific risk parameter treshold for them to start using rockets
Notice how he's not talking about the wiki in your second quote? What even is your point? IMHO he's also talking about modding documentation. Which was indeed terrible on the old wiki, and is a lot better in the docs. General game information is indeed more scarce on the docs, but that's not what they're for. There's a subtle difference between documentation and wiki.
Where's the irony here ? While the cars section of the docs might not be great, the wiki is still outdated.
A neighborhood spawn point would be nice. Pretty inconvenient that I have to freecam over there after spawning.
