I doubt it'd be street legal in Cali Buncha tight-ass liberals out there. The U.S. is relatively lax on road rules, especially what's considered street legal and what isn't.
That is the problem with the US, also guns. You can't get a car with a rust hole street legal in europe, and there are very strict rules for homologation of engine swaps, everything. You might well not make the MOT because of a fart cannon on your honda. OT: (imported from here)

Aye. If you decat the car, then you're kinda buggered because they tun an emissions test which will pick up on it. You either have to get it retested by the DVLA themselves and registered as a higher emissions vehicle which incurs admin fees, higher tax and higher insurance or run a high flow cat (a good one won't impede the exhaust anyway so this is a very good option if you want to keep the car legal while going for the fart cannon soundtrack, costs a pretty penny though) or the dodgy option, modify the existing catalytic converter to have some sort of quick connection on either end so its interchangeable, remove it for fart cannoning down the street and then put it back in for the MOT.
Fart cans are stupid anyway. It sounds cool, but deep down you know the engine is still stock if not worse most of the time. You're literally paying money to get worse gas mileage.
Doesnt even sound that cool to me, although its probably the fact I know the engine is still stock over-riding opinion of the exhaust note itself.

I don't exacly like that, but nor do i want to get hit by a wheel that just came off a crap hotrod on the highway. It is for safety, Also emmisions are a pretty important thing. And i didn't say i like fart cannons, i said it can make your car not make MOT.
