But this mod is high quality and we all know it... So you can't just say that people criticize it for a good reason, their only reason is that it's paid
I don't really see the problem with such high quality paid mods in BeamNG. They are not that expensive and most important the time and work invested by the creators is huge. It can be free and rely only on donations, but I'm afraid that our self-awareness as consumers is not there yet. Would you pay a proper price for an otherwise free bread (for example) in a store without prices?
Do you mean the price is too high? Or there shouldn't be a price at all? Can you say that you don't like Bentleys, because they are paid?
I can say that I don't like when Bentley has made free cars for years and years, and all the other car manufacturers from all the different countries are also making free cars, but one day for some reason Bentley decides they're somehow better than all the other maufacturers and thinks they should have a price tag
Nice update, parts of the exterior (in particular the insides and edges of the front fenders) now use the interior color on some paint designs though (here is the GTZ flare backing):
paid mods aint anything new tho, i mean yeah there are a lot more but most arguments i see for paid mods are the same i see for private mods and it always boils down to someone being selfish at the end of the day, usually the people making a big fuss about it
do you not understand the massive amount of commitment and effort that goes into making mods like these? paid mods like these are literally on par with the developers cars and they are paid to make content for the game, so why make mods as good as the cars made by the developers for free when every other creator and 3d designer with as much talent is being paid for similar content on all sorts of games? its litterally like just buying a dlc for forza and those dlc packs have cars which are quality and not some cheap russian shit similar with beam. i just hate people who think everything should be free once they bought a game and dont appreciate the work modders put into a game for a community to shit on it.
-Yes, I am aware effort goes into mods -I can't think of any game where talented modders make paid content. Nothing in Minecraft, Nothing I know of in Gmod, GTA 5 has random scam patreons and JulioNIB who is a piece of crap, flight simulator has lots of paid mods but they are extremely overpriced and the majority of them are garbage -It's not like buying a DLC for Forza, that is a part of the game which is made by the developers and has a variety of cars, this is one car made by someone on the internet that I'm just supposed to trust and throw money at -While I prefer games to have free updates and think excessive DLC is bad, small bits of content from the actual developers that is purchasable on Steam and tied to my account with garunteed support is alright
Can you guys stop discussing whether paid mods are good are bad here, this isn't a thread about them it's a thread about the Signia. People who like paid mods aren't going to suddenly dislike them and vice versa, it's just clogging the thread
Still loving the mod LJ, found a few weird issues before release. The Radiator in the rotary models appears to be invincible. I crashed all of them into a pole right down the middle and it just seems to be the rotary one, even tried giving it a yank with the node grabber and no leakage The auto shifter has no PRNDL markings The passenger side mirror is obscured by the wipers. Not the end of the world, but if the car was originally designed to have wing mounted mirrors, then that is something Ibishu would have taken into consideration The indicator lights on the dash for the flashers do not function in the RHD interiors, and just show black Also along the same lines would it be possible to get something along the lines of pilot lights installed in the race interior to show Headlight status, flasher status etc. That way the race interior could be used on something like a hi-po rally build, as rally cars are required to be road leagal, and having lights showing that kind of info is a WOF/MOT requirement. Then I've got 2 nice-to-haves The plastic doors mirrors look strangely angled due to I assume reusing the model for the wing mounted mirrors. It would be great if you could create a revised model where the glass is angled instead keeping the mirror housing in its original "aerodynamic" orientation Lastly would it be possible to separate out the model badging on the grilles. Currently they are linked the the other badging, so if you remove the grille filler part, the badging floats Again you're doing a great job, and keep up the good work!
Is there supposed to be an odometer? I'm looking at the photos of the interior and I'm not seeing one.
Yeah but LJ is better than everyone else so he can make his mods paid if he wants to Seriously, mods nowadays are much different than years ago, it's about time we moved from free to paid mods as it now requires a lot more time, effort, and tools to make a dev-quality mods It's also up to the modder's choice to decide if they want to make their months of work free or paid. Not anyone else's. If you don't like paid mods, then simply don't buy them. Your best way to fight against them is to not encourage them and therefore not give them your money. Ranting on the forums won't change anything I'm afraid. There is one here :
