I made a new model for the bed of the gavril d-series. But now i have a problem with the textures. I used the smart uv project in blender to make the uv map. Can someone help me to fix the textures
Sorry but you have to restart from scratch, smart UV map is usually a terrible idea to use and I don't think it's fixable after it
You should probably be fine if you modify the vanilla bed and don't change the UV map, provided that you do it properly
you need to keep the UV layout as it was originally. you can fix it (though it will never be perfect) by converting a copy of some of the .dds texture files (I usually use the base color and normal map) to a normal format like .PNG (i use paint.net), then import that into blender, and it'll show up as an underlay under the UV map. then, you just have to manually scale and line up the parts with their respective bits on the texture. though as agent_y said, for a mesh modification this simple you're probably better to just restart.
ok, then ill restart. do you know how i can apply the mesh changes to booth sides? (duplicating and mirroring is not thebest, i had some issues with that) Edit: Ok, I found out how i do it.
