Update Speculation thread

I wonder if the team has considered finally tweaking the colour presets for vehicles. I am not sure if they are set that way for a reason but they seem to be very outdated to me, especially given the recent improvements to graphics. I find that sometimes the environment looks so beautiful and the car stands out as rather opaque and dated, only because of the paint. Here is an example of the Bastion using the original paint and then one of mine (I learnt how to tweak it with a youtube tutorial). The difference is abyssmal, let me know what you think and whether you think we´ll see a change in that soon.

Not all colors offered by manufacturers are metallic though, so it's not entirely unrealistic to have them

 

High end colors are usually metallic, I think the cheap base colors only are non metallic

Dynamic weather is what I’d like to see the most but I’m aware that this is a huge thing and probably cannot be expected in the near future. Would be great to test the cars under different conditions. As far as I know, the devs haven‘t mentioned working on it or having it planned, have they?

Having an economy in game will certainly be a game changer for me at least. I've spent the last 10 years looking foward to doing cheap car challenges a lá Top Gear/Motor Trend.

One thing I am curious about is if vehicles with special lore will be more valuable than generic vehicles built to the same spec. For example, will Pete Burnside JR's unique stock car be more valuable than any old Bluebuck that's built to the same spec? I guess they could kinda cheat it and make that particular skin worth a lot, but it would be pretty cool to have some sort of VIN system to make particular cars more valuable. I'd be pretty dissapointed if a special race car was worth the same as any old big block Bluebuck.
