Did you mean "Chollima" by any chance? AFAIK that was the name of the movement (Chollima being winged horse). I did want to use that name but since there were multiple irl North Korean buses by the name, I decided to not use that one. Damn, I was sure it meant workhorse? At least that's how I intended it. Guess translator let me down lol I'm pretty sure China has some stricter regulations which would render this type of car obselete/too unsafe/too polluting for their market As I described in the lore section, they imported several ETKs, took them apart, studied the design, and then made a car using that knowledge which is pretty much a simplified, worse quality and performance I-Series.
That's fine. I just mean"Chollima",a movement in DPRK since 1957,also a famous song in DPRK.I will think about other names if not bothered. Didn't know there's a bus named Chollima in DPRK.Thanks for the information
A Russian export version could be feasible. as far as I know there would be nothing stopping it from selling there regulation wise.
I don't know.I copied the korean name of the car and threw it into the translator. Then it says"Achievement Car"as a result. btw the translator I am using now is Microsoft Translate.
I think that they even have a whole line of buses/trolleybuses branded as Chollima: Perhaps, but IRL North Korea makes just a few thousand cars yearly if not less, their manufacturing capability is too small for steady exports. At least I haven't heard about DPRK exporting any cars Also, Workman seems to be a synoynm
Probably not since there is no need for one I reckon plus I don't know what the third facelift would have different from the second
add a super cheap indian/pakistani model with white paint, unpainted bumpers, no seatbelts, only 1 mirror, and rust underneath (also signs of damage like damaged light or broken hubcap)
Can we have a version with different color on each part , used tire, an odometer that show 747 kilometers and a paper on the windshield that says : for sale 20000€ .
china has the highest emissions in the world that keep rising and they keep building new coal powerplants, they may talk about fixing it but they don't really give a damn, especially back then when it wasn't such a big deal. also the safety of some cheap chinese made cars from the 2000s are pretty horrific too so that didn't stop them from being sold either
The VW Santana was sold from 1983 until 2008 with the same body underneath the many facelifts. This means you could sell a 20+ year old car with just minor tweaks.
Actually the Indian version may have no mirrors on both side. (Yes both left and right side mirrors are not standard trim in India because roads in India are too crowded that the mirror may come off easily) --- Post updated --- 1983-2012 actually. In 1999 SAIC VW cut all the version with carburetor, while only fuel-injection GLi version kept its productiion until 2012. I think Chinese market won't accept this North Korean shitbox because its outdated technology and pollution.Environment protection laws are strict here especially to cars.(But the law is now not that strict to old cars in recent years. Some classic cars survived under the strict law in car pollution)
could there be, perhaps, an upbadged version with ETK badges for shits and giggles? and maybe some beater configs with bumpers falling off and dead shocks and piston rings
