Is there a way to disable the fake sky reflection on cars? I know that turning alpha up when choosing a car's colour makes it better, but isn't it still rendered? I want to completely get rid of it. ''Why?'' You may ask. Because it doesn't make much sense when the sky is black (disabled) and I'm trying to squeeze as many frames as I can out of the game. Thank you for any replies

Go into the world editor(F11) and then press F1. Locate "Skybox" on the right side and delete it. Make sure not to save the level of it will be gone forever:)

You meant the Scene Tree right? I couldnt find no "Skybox" and yes, I tried using the filter too. There is a folder named "Sky", deleteing that turned off the sun, but the cars still have a fake reflection of the sky on them
Im using the experimental version BTW. And I have tried it in the stable version as well

I don't think it would make much difference to performance, but you could try removing "cubemap = "BNG_Sky_02_cubemap"" from the car materials, or remove it per level in levels\[...]\art\skies.

Unless your performance is bottlenecked by the graphics card, removing collision triangles from the cars should help a lot more. It doesn't affect driving much (except aerodynamics), though crashing would be less realistic.

Removing the reflections got me from 10 to 12 max FPS on Grid Map, thank you. Im assuming that the triangles are a part of a cars jbeam, right?

The reflection in the D-15 bed is annoying. Thought many times about a satin black bed liner mod.
