Now I know there are at least two other crew threads, but seeing how its is becoming closer to its release, here we can chat about who is going to buy it, who wants to be in whos crew, and which platform you are using.

I'll start, I have pre-ordered it on pc, and i am going to see if I can make a beamng crew.

The crew is getting a lot of bad reviews of people saying that it's too repetitive and that the story is not that new so I not sure if I'm going to preorder it... And why preorder it? To get an mini cooper? Sorry but to make me pre order an game they gotta do better than that....

Nah, I didnt pre-order it for the car, plus, to me it seems like it will be fun in an arcade-y sort of way, I enjoyed tdu2, and this seems a lot better then that.

Why do people even preorder digital copies? The reason preordering was a thing was to make sure stock was there for you on launch day. With digital there's infinite stock and hence no issue. Preordering just locks you into a potentially bad product with no benefit but an ingame early unlock. And considering uPlay, I doubt you'll be playing on launch day anyways, preorder or not.

yeah I suppose, but I pre ordered it as I was gonna buy it on launch day anyway, so I may as well make sure I don't accidentally spend my money.

I'm gonna wait until the game is a few months old. If it hasn't become pay-to-win, I might buy it.
Although the only thing about it that I find actually interesting is off-road conversions of cars. Because who doesn't want an off-road mustang?

The point is to wait for the review embargo to lift to find out whether or not the game is shite. The "beta" did not seem promising. Theoretically, what if this happened?

"Highest rating a 6.5 for console and an unplayable mess on PC? Too bad, you gave us your money before you knew anything about the product but what we deliberately spoon-fed you!"

Would you be mad? Yes. Could you blame anyone but yourself for preordering something with infinite stock and not waiting for the press to do their jobs, especially considering Ubi's track record and the worrying render FPS dependent physics tick in the beta? No. Preordering video games only exists today as a way to give shareholders approximate sales figures and to trick consumers into buying shite. It needs to die.

Yeah, I agree with that, but I've never been disappointed with pre-ordering, and I know a lot of people hate ubisoft, but I haven't been let down by them yet. I understand what you're getting at, but from past exeriences, it seemed okay, and this is a game that I would probably enjoy, I don't care about reviews as long as I like it, as well as it being fun to bash around on a way too Arcady game, but, we will see when it comes out. Also, if I'm disappointed, that's my fault, but I'm okay with that, it would help me be more cautious in the future.
