HUGE CHANGE COMING UP!!! --- Post updated --- does anyone know how to port my mesh into beamng? I would appreciate it alot..
try this way: I: open your model with blender, and right click your mouse to copy those parts you want to added(do not close the blender window) II: open the vehicle's zip file, and find the dae file, then unzip it to anywhere, III: open your blender, choose "file" at the memu, then choose "import"and find your dae file in the explorer window IV:then right click again to paste V:check the "collection" memu, find the parts you just added VI:then save it as a dae file and copy it's name VII:find another part's jbeam(should be the same type's part,it's better to choose part in this zip because they use the same one dae to save their mesh),then paste the name of the parts to the "flexbodies"(delete original one) VIII:if you do correct, your modified flexbodies will be looks like this: ["mesh", "[group]:", "nonFlexMaterials"], ["car_door_RR_sedan", ["car_door_RR"]], //["car_doorpanel_RR_sedan", ["car_door_RR"]], (here choose a shit mod for example, the group can be check in blender too) hope these things can help you a little,I don't know much about textures and materials also UV's,so good luck
Because it's completely impossible to tell when a mod will release, and people on the forums are getting tired of newcomers constantly asking when things will be released. The answer is invariably something along the lines of "when it's ready."
a comeback! --- Post updated --- A Comeack ahs been made, I have moved onto another laptop. Now one with better screen and doesent really lag!
Cool mod idea! For exporting, make sure all meshes have Autosmooth enabled for a range of 45-60 degrees. Otherwise the shading will be weird. The most optimal way to apply it is to select all meshes, click on Autosmooth, right click the checked box and click „Copy to selected”, then go to the angle, select somewhere in between 45-60 degrees, then right click and press copy to selected again. Or maybe you already know that Still, I’m happy to see where this is going.
-Update- The new update with the k series has kinda bugged me and what i should do with this project, i will try to add the new parts in but the release date will take a but more longer
