Re: General discussion chat We don't have a week of fall break any more because some parents bitched that we went back to school too early, so the school board pushed the summer back 3 days and took those 3 from our fall break. That pissed me off. Fucking parents are always the ones that complain about school stuff and get it screwed up. My mom is constantly bitching about how we go back to early. We get out mid may and go back mid August. 3 months. As long as we have 3 months idgaf when it is. My fall break is monday and Tuesday of next week.

Re: General discussion chat Wait wtf. You guys get 3 months of summer break? We got 6 weeks. Then there is 1 week in October. 2 weeks at Christmas and 2 weeks at Easter. Uni though. I had way too long summer break...
Re: General discussion chat It changes per school district. Seems to have ~3 months of summer break and then a total of ~4-5 weeks break set by the district. My year has this week off, one week off thanksgiving, 2 off Christmas, and then 1 spring break. Also another total of a 1.5 week in early releases and Mondays or Fridays off.

Re: General discussion chat My district gets a 3 month summer break, 2 day fall break, I think a 2 or 3 day thanksgiving break, then a huge 3 week break for christmas. We get out just before christmas and don't go back until well after New Years. That is the one beak the the school board better keep their damn hands off of at all costs. Then we get a week for spring break.

Re: General discussion chat Summer was a bit over 2 months. I get 2 days off for Thanksgiving and one week for Christmas then one week for April vacation. Yay.
Re: General discussion chat This year my school is doing something called flex days. Basically we stay home from school, but we have about 3-4 hours of work to do from home (eLearning is what they call it). Plus, if we miss school because of snow, fog, etc... we don't have to make up those days at the end of the year, we just do eLearning the days we are cancelled. So basically we are guaranteed to get out on May 27th.
