maybe AngeTheGreat could develop a sound exporter for beamng (like automation). I made this car with the sound from engine sim but it is a very boring work
About this, I am having some trouble with my latency going all over the place on every engine apart from the kohler, can someone help me?
Couldn't this very easily be somebody thats just made their name on Patreon BeamNG though? I'm unfamiliar with how Patreon works though because I've never used it. Feel free to correct me.
The recordings in videos posted above don't sound right because BeamNG does not simulate the EQ of the air acting on the samples. When the sound travels through a medium (say air), some frequencies are naturally attenuated and filtered out. Essentially, it sounds like the in-game camera microphone is positioned right at the exhaust no matter where you look. Engine Sim is great, but BeamNG needs to do a lot of work on the sound engine before either it or the samples can be implemented correctly.
Impressive the infinite possibilities with this engine simulator --- Post updated --- Also i bet quite a few of you missed that podcast with ange here
im for an combined air and sound raytracing model as it would give the chance for an great aero model also it isn not as heavy on the Gpu as light raytracing because we are limited by the speed of sound plus we dont need to care about colours
A new video will be out soon on AngeTheGreat YouTube, according to his daily dev update. He was also talking about something about the mechanical parts sound generation, so stay tuned.
