while i was bidding on an amp the shipping cost was $17.10 + the $.99 i bid. Now, after the auction ended, the shipping is suddenly $19.70 + $.99 which is over my $20 dollar card.
IIRC the seller can change the shipping rates whenever they want before the auction ends, but don't quote me on that.
This is true, I speak from experience. So the seller most-likely raised shipping when they found out how much it would actually cost.
all of my google searches returned that it was against ebay policy to jack the shipping up after the auction ended. edit: "This is about you question if sellers can change shipping information after a buyer purchased an item. Our policy says that once a bid or BIN option has been click on by the buyer, sellers are not allowed to change their description, item title, shipping cost or either end the listings. That will be a violation of the binding contract that they already have with their buyers or winning bidders.if you have a seller doing this you can have them reported because that can lead your seller account be restricted or suspended indefinitely on eBay."
