Inspired by the GM's Duramax V8s and especially the layout from Gale Banks' Duramax (pictured below), I decided to make a Twin Turbo Diesel V8 for the Civetta Scintilla, using base models from the Gavril V8 only. Inspiration: Right now I'm figuring out on the vertices, triangles, nodes and the beams on the intake parts and such. I am just using the jbeam exporter in this as a my first part of the journey into developing an engine with proper jbeam, after this I will proceed on remastering my other mods as well. Done: - Engine model - Drivable in the game - Tunes To do: Accurate Jbeam (learning rn): - Engine base block jbeam (reuses Gavril V8, DONE) - Intake and turbocharger model jbeam (dual intercoolers' jbeam was surprisingly fine, turbos and chargepipes however aren't and so as the downpipes) - Exhaust model jbeam - Accurate exhaust audio and fumes Update: I would keep the most of the parts structural jbeam as-is, but before releasing it I must fix the exhaust fumes and audio direction Here's a picture btw: Feel free to make any jbeam help and suggestions too. I will say this it is not designed for the upper flapping exhaust. LINK TO REPO: https://www.beamng.com/resources/experimentalish-civetta-scintilla-twin-turbo-diesel-v8.25588/
Posted this on Development Screens before, left is my current L5P and right is vanilla Scintilla Velocita config I'm thinking on adjusting the nodes as well as the beams especially on the turbocharged parts slot.
Exhaust direction is still pretty sh*t, in the meantime I decided to add some tires and wheels there when I fix the exhaust. They will be Gavril 5sport (yes black, chrome and silver too) 19x9 front 19x12 rear (245 fronts and 325 rears) and Gavril Allsport (both silver and two tone) 18x9 front 18x10 rear (255 fronts and 295 rears)
Thanks to @SubieBerry 's advice, I managed to learn some more JBeam (but still have a verrry long way to go) which I managed to fix the exhaust direction and audio!
