Second one is more Pigeon than the first, I mean it even has a bed! The first is more Wigeon and the second is more Pigeon.

Where did all these brands come from? ETK is obviously BMW's counterpart and Cherrier is obviously Peugeot's counterpart in the game. I don't see even one thing inspired by the brands mentioned above. And im not saying devs should carbon copy all aspects of the real brands they are mimicking but making a big ETK or Cherrier semi truck just sounds strange to me when they have several other fictional brands in the game that are so much more compatible with this idea. Also quality of the latest vehicles is so much better than even 2 years ago that the T-series is now lacking, so focusing on remaster is not a bad idea firstly.

ETK is also used as Mercedes and basically all other German brands by mostly modders. Same as Cherrier, but for mainly French brands. Remember the ETK military/ camper/ semi truck from a while back (2017 mod I think, forgot the name, it's on the repo)? Fits ETK quite well in my opinion. Same with Cherrier.

Also, I agree on the second bit, the devs really should drop making new vehicles for a while and focus on making remasters for the current vehicles that need them, it's better to get all of the current vehicles up to scratch before making more.

I wouldn’t say that ETK and Cherrier are obviously supposed to be BMW and Peugeot respectively. I personally dislike saying “this BeamNG car is completely based on this IRL car, I think it downplays the devs’ creativity and work that goes into designing and creating cars for BeamNG. I was giving fairly common European brands that could easily compete with ETK and Cherrier. This means that ETK and Cherrier could both easily find places in the semi truck market.

I do, however, absolutely agree that the devs should work on remasters before anything else.

You are just making irrelevant statements to win the argument.

I'm not trying to 'win' an argument, just pointing out that ETK (and less commonly, Cherrier) has been used for the purposes you said it shouldn't be and under brands you said they shouldn't be. There isn't any need for making new brands for these vehicles.

Yes, ETK and Cherrier have been used for things i said they shouldn't be by modders and we are talking about vanilla content here, that is why i said that this is irrelevant.

Personally I don't find my statements irrelevant, and I'm not trying to win an argument. This is a (theoretically) peaceful discussion. Please don't make it otherwise.

Also I'd like to say that I respect your opinions, whether I disagree with them or not.

I see this more as opinion based then, as making more brands would be pointless to me. To me at least, ETK represents German brands, meaning that it can take inspiration from not just BMW, but other German brands. Same with Cherrier, but with France. There's nothing really wrong with these companies being influenced by other car companies from their respective countries, but again, opinion.

Yep, this is my opinion. As i said there are existing fictional brands currently in the game that can incorporate a semi, my point is not for them to add more brands. You are saying that ETK is not only representing BMW but a number of german brands which is a good point but yet again if you dig into ETK 800 specs for example you can see that they are 1:1 with BMW F30 and to me they are so similar. Cherrier vivace interior is so similar to peugeot 208 interior i don't even need to point that out. Might be just me but i seriously don't see any inspiration from mercedes, audi, volvo, vw etk.. so when someone says that renault or mercedes do a semi so cherrier or etk can too that just sounds irrelevant to me. This is not only addressed to you personally.

Well the inspiration taken from Audi is quite obvious in my opinion, a red engine cover on a 5 cylinder engine, looking almost exactly like the one on some/one of the Audi 5 cylinders? Not sure on which car, I’m going to look it up
    Edit: Audi rs3 for example

First of all, mods are not vannila and thus shouldn't be used in the discussion of in-game lore or possibilities. On the other hand, we have only seen a tiny fraction of these companies' full lineups, the rest is up to the imagination. This isn't really speculation more of suggestion.

Agree on the lore part, makes sense that mods don't apply to lore. Fully disagree on the possibilities bit. I mean, remember the Labrador Beaver? It's got a vanilla counterpart now. A mod doesn't have to be vanilla to show what vanilla vehicles can be possible in the future (if that's what you meant by possibilities). Tell me if this makes sense, I feel that I explained this quite poorly.

why not use autobello for a euro semi?
we now know they make military trucks like the stambecco, so it's not inconceivable they could also have a truck lineup like mercedes/iveco/tatra.

You know, that's a good idea too. Are their any popular Italian semi's IRL? I'd be interested to see.

It appears Fiat made semi type vehicles a while back. That's interesting.

Apparently Iveco is Italian as well.

Autobello's name is clearly inspired by Autobianchi, which built a few trucks in the 50s and 60s before being bought by Fiat in '68

The IRL company went bust in '95 but in the BeamNG universe it might have had more success in the industrial world and lived on to become a truck and heavy equipment manufacturer
