Cars were completely facelifts, with all new bodies. The US auto industry was nuts in the 50s/60s. I always thought it was a result of the postwar economic boom, but idk.

    On-topic:
Looking at all the vehicles in game, Ive made a list based on what needs a remaster the most and least.
    1. Burnside Special- very little aftermarket content, low quality, no lore, no factory trims other than transmission-based models, might need bodystyles, one factory engine, one aftermarket engine. I can see why it is probably low on the devs' list, as there isn't really much you can do with it that isn't already covered.
    2. Ibishu Miramar- very little aftermarket content, low quality, almost no lore, very few factory trims, def needs bodystyles, 3 factory engines, 1 aftermarket engine, not even close to tapping into its potential. So many possibilities, there isn't really an excuse here.
    3. ETK twins- very little aftermarket content, meh quality, no lore, substantial but not quite complete factory trims, def needs bodystyles, 4 factory engines, not even close to tapping into its potential. Remaster coming.
    4. Bruckell Moonhawk- very little aftermarket content, low quality, no lore, not enough factory trims, might need bodystyles, 2 factory engines. I can see why it is probably low on the devs' list, as there isn't really much you can do with it that isn't already covered.
    5. Hirochi SBR4- very little aftermarket content, good quality, no lore, not enough factory trims, 2 factory engines. There is still a lot of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
    6. Hirochi Sunburst- generous aftermarket content, very low quality, for some reason it's a JDM-sized compact a la Corrola Axio in the US market, no lore, not enough factory trims, def needs bodystyles, 2 confusing factory engines. There is still a bit of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
    7. Gavril T-series- very little aftermarket content, low quality, no lore, not nearly enough factory trims, 1 factory engine, not even close to tapping into its potential. So many possibilities, there isn't really an excuse here.
    8. Wentward DT40L- very little aftermarket content, decent quality, no lore, some factory trims, one factory engine. I can see why it is probably low on the devs' list, as there isn't really much you can do with it that isn't already covered. More JATO plz.
    9. 200BX- very little aftermarket content, meh quality, no lore, very few factory trims, 1 factory engine, not even close to tapping into its potential. There is still a lot of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
    10. Ibishu Pessima VM301- some content, good quality, very little lore, lots of factory trims but could use some more, def needs bodystyles, 2 factory engines. There is still a bit of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
    11. ETK I- generous aftermarket content, meh quality, some lore, lots of factory trims but could use some more, def needs bodystyles, 2 factory engines. There is still a bit of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.

Back in the 60s, that was just about the average net/gross difference.

200BX has a lot of potential, what do you mean, “not as much as other cars”?!
Same with the Moonhawk and the Special.

If I had to pick, it would be the Moonhawk, include parts like a facelift and a wagon body, Same goes for others like the Burnside or the Grand Marshal.

The Miramar. Aside from being totally outdated, it also has a ton of potential, from restomods to coupé and compact (Covet?) versions.
Old, lightweight RWD cars are some of the most fun you can have in a sim and the Miramar could be so much better at filling that niche.

Also it has a very unique design on the rear that doesn't translate to the Jbeam at all. The fuel tank is literally the trunk floor and without it there's a giant hole in the rear of the body. Realistically this would mean that there's no structural stability in that area and it should bend way more in rear end impacts + cause a fire more likely due to the fuel tank being crushed between pieces of metal, but it just behaves like a generic sedan instead. Maybe they could even make it so the fuel tank can fall out.

I think it'd be funny if they didn't implement it properly at first and made a car with a Bluetooth gas tank

For me it would probably be the 200BX at this point, not particularly bad as is (except for the headlight textures xdd) but would be nice to have on par in terms of quality and part variation with the likes of the remastered Covet

oh and a JDM variant with RHD would be nice too:rolleyes:

Am I alone in thinking the 200BX handles really poorly? It needs a ton of setup fiddling to make it feel even somewhat good. Hopefully a revamp would fix that.

So it doesn’t need a remaster, it just needs new configs

I agree with most here that the Moonhawk desperately needs a full remaster, it is lacking in pretty much every aspect and it hasn't gotten any love in some years.
The T-Series definitely needs an update as well, since it is also quite lacking. Although, GTG's T-Series expansion has done wonders to improve its longevity in my opinion.
The 200BX, at the very least, needs a rework and additional content, whether that be a smaller update or a full remaster.
