Can you play BeamNG when it is on an SD card?

I play off a laptop, and I don't have much storage space. I want to get Forza Horizon 5 (123 GB) due to a new DLC coming out soon, but I don't have the space. I am fine deleting another one of my forza games (50 GB) but I want to still be able to play BeamNG. I have a 256 GB SD card laying around, I want to know if I could play BeamNG off of that plugged into my PC?

I don't have steam, I bought the humble bundle, but I could file transfer it there

Ok, I am testing it out to see if it works. I am keeping it on this PC and I am going to try it from the SD card

Update: It works fine, in fact im getting double fps for some reason, but it looks fuzzy and the UI is massive. Any idea how to fix?

 

did your game's settings get reset when you moved it? i'm inclined to think so because you mention the double fps. maybe the game can't find your user folder (which contains your settings iirc) now that you moved the game? i'd check what your user folder location is currently just to make sure

I was able to fix it, but when I restarted the game it went back.
