probleme backfire , please help my

    Since the 0.27 the exhaust flames on all cars are offset when I drive at high speed upload_2023-2-9_15-42-55.png

    Try cleaning cache, launch the game and in the little window that pops-up click on support tools, then on clear cache and then click on the second option.

    0.27 changed the behaviour of particles. In short: they no longer have the full velocity of the car but instead are influenced by a "wind". This unfortunately applies to flames as well, despite this making no sense :D. I've had my battle with it and given up: https://beamng.com/resources/21760/

    The problem is that none of the active mods touch the Exhaust flame I have already tried to disable everything, and this happens on all vehicles even the base cars of BeamNG and the same with the base maps j I had installed a reshad in 0.26 that I deleted in 0.27 but this also happened in safe mod with a clean folder,
    I even reinstalled almost all the files with steam by deleting them 1 by 1

    Like I said above, this is theoretically intended behaviour, even though it looks incorrect.

    Why'd they include the flames in this? Was there no way to do all other particles without the flames? I'm no modder, I wouldn't know.

    They definitely just hardcoded this behavior for all particle types and it will most likely be filtered by particle type in the future

    Yes yes, I understand this thread is somewhat old.

    But do we have any kind of status or ETA on fixing this?

    I feel like this is a relatively small correction. This ain't a show stopper but this is definetively a regression which is making the overall experience of this game worse.

    Please, devs, do reconsider the priority of this bug. As a fan who strongly believe BeamNG will be the pinacle of sim racing, seeing this behaviour just puts a dent in my heart.

    I haven't seen any problems with exhausts in my game at all.
