How would this handle beam? And is Lenovo a brand you’d recommend? I haven’t had luck with Dell or HP.
It would run great, but is not the best value, maybe better try building the PC yourself, it's really fun, like adult LEGO
OH NO, no way! it's actually really easy! I just built my first PC last month, and had ZERO previous experience. You just need the parts. You could build a PC with the same specs for about 12 or 1,600. It's super simple, you just need a motherboard, a power source, a case, a cpu, a gpu, for cooling I'd recommend water cooling. You'll also need around 32 GB ram (so two 16GB sticks) and a 1TB SSD. Just look up the process of putting each part together online. For buying the parts, I'd recommend using Newegg. Then after you're done, just download all of the needed drivers. If you would like links to the parts I used, just tell me! I can DM them or just post them here for others in the future to use.
Would it be as simple as just upgrading RAM on my current computer first? I honestly can't understand why I need to run on mid/low settings and lowered resolution just to get 25fps or so
16 GB ram is perfect. The core is a little low though, and seems to be pretty cheap. Upgrading that would be good. How about your GPU? What is the manufacturer and model?
I'd recommend building it, as it is cheaper (and super easy) to fix/ replace / upgrade parts rather than continually buying new ones.
