Re: General discussion chat I have been diagnosed by a doctor, when I was much younger, and I find it to be the most annoying thing when people say they have it when they don't. If you can't focus on something or, even worse, use it as an excuse to be immature as fuck (looking at you IBsenoj), then fuck you. Life is so much harder with it, because you always want to do work, but you... just... cannot. There is so much more to it than just not being able to concentrate, and being hyper. That's just the tip of the generalized-beyond-recognition iceberg. That god damn mental secretary is a gift that people with ADHD lack, and everyone who doesn't have this stupid disability should embrace that secretary, because it keeps your mental state clear, and not in triple-rush hour all day long. Don't self-diagnose yourself. You are almost always incorrect, and you are just giving yourself a label that you can't actually use. It's a handicap, not an excuse.
Re: General discussion chat I don't lose focus on any random stuff, but I find it hard to concentrate on things I'm not interested in, such as... School lessons, for example. But instead of my thoughts going to anything around me, I usually end up thinking of the same things - Silly annoying programmes to troll people in the school PCs, or crazy (and not-so-crazy) car engines (that's how I invented the turbo-battery-charger). So when I'm studying I might end up with an idea for a new, incredibly inefficient line-drawing algorithm. Or I find myself actually programming that algorithm at school. Last year I had a class on basic electronics, most of it would be stealing random components to make my own circuits (and burning dozens of LEDs with high voltage capacitors). I wonder if they ever noticed all that stuff, er, randomly disappearing. Yeah, I totally did not take them home. Nope. - - - Updated - - - Oh, look. I have 900 posts.
