i just used my phone originally, but photoscanning is a semi complicated process, and due to all the reflections, it never scanned right. Id have to wait for it to get really dirty, or cover it in some matte powder or something. So it can capture the details, and properly form the shape.

Very, very hard to find models of this type of car.

You can find diecast models in Japan, but never seen one on 1/18 scale for example, they are all very small cars, hot wheels type.

Do you know that BeamNG is being develop for more than 10 years, right?

Do you really think that the devs deleted everything after the first obstacle? are you doing the same thing with everything in your life?
If you really want something, you can work hard for it.

Any mod or vanilla car has many, many hours in learning, tryng, redoing....

A few days ago I finally got around to photoscanning my IRL car, a 2002 Outback, and got some pretty decent results. I mainly wanted to photoscan my car, so I could use a semi detailed model generated from the real car itself, so I could more accurately model the shape of the car. There is no good blueprints or other models of the car anywhere online, so the best way to do so is to photoscan, and use the scan as a blueprint. The scan isnt perfect, and I think im going to redo it with more preparation, in order to get a more solid mesh to work off of.

But these results are really good for a first attempt.

Would taping up the windows help with the scatter through the glass? Might help get the hatch scan to smooth out if it's got a solid surface for a window

I redid the scan and got slightly better results. Although the car was a little too reflective. But it's good enough for me to start modeling since the scan is mostly just for proportions.
