This car is marked DOHC on the rear fascia but Twincam on the cam cover. Shouldn't they be standardized to one or the other?

Also, both LHD and RHD have the same wiper orientation, but I think the RHD one needs to reverse the wiper orientation according to IRL.

This is my personal wish, but the sports grade should have a 1.6L engine instead of 1.5L. In the racing regulations of the time, there was a class in which 1.6L was the maximum displacement, so there were many 1.6L sports compacts in Japan, nicknamed "Tenroku" (テンロク).
The Japanese tax classification requires that the low-tax 1.5L be retained, but it would be nice to have a 1.6L.
I think the model years 1986-1992 are too long. Japanese cars at that time had a basic 4-year cycle of model changes, so 1986-1989 is about right.
Also, don't you think the Series 2 needs to have a more aerodynamic nose? In the 80's, facelifts often resulted in redesigned headlights, fenders, and hood. (Example: Mazda Familia/323, launched in 1985, got new headlights, fenders and hood as shown in the right image in the 1987 upgrade)
    01.jpg fde09183eca96e276fe6258dbdf4ff98.jpg
In those cases, the headlights were often narrower and the nose slanted. Incidentally, the pre-facelift Covet looks similar to the 2nd generation Accord hatchback, which also got a slanted nose and lower hood tip in the facelift.
    honda_accord_1981_hb_1.jpg HONDA-Accord-3-Doors-2949_6.jpg
Also, the length from the lower edge of the bumper to the top of the headlights is longer than that of the family sedan Pessima, giving the Covet a thick and heavy impression even though it is a light and sporty hatchback.

For these reasons, I think Series 2 should be improved. How about a design like this?

My two cents about the 1.5 SOHC and DOHC engines when they're in highly-tuned NA state (meaning ITBs, Race - or no - Exhaust with Long Tube Header, Stage 2 Performance Long Block and the Race ECU set @9000rpm, since the curves drop after that and these engines can't make more power any higher than that): it's a bit weird seeing the 1.5 SOHC engine actually making more power than its DOHC sibling (250hp for the SOHC 1.5 vs 234hp for the DOHC 1.5 @9000rpm, with no exhaust - torque is the same for both though, at 200Nm), especially since extra power (especially up high) is the name of the DOHC game.
Plus, I firmly believe the 1.5 DOHC unit needs the Stage-3 Performance Long Block, not only for differentiating it from its 1.5 SOHC sibling, but also for eliminating the power and torque shortages (and curve drops) above 9000rpm and all the way to the absolute 10000rpm limit. I mean, the 2.0 DOHC unit has the Stage-3 Block and its 295hp/269Nm (with no exhaust, naturally) climax right in the absolute 8600rpm limit of the Race ECU, with the power and torque curves only going up before stopping at the limit, which means the 2.0 DOHC engine revs much more healthily.

    Interesting.
Actually, why did they change the model year to 86? Or is it only for the JDM models?

The hoses need to be redone too, they are inside the textures of the new parts on the mid-engine versions

Seriously, why are there no front downforce options at all? there is and has been the front lip, which does absolutely nothing, so it doesn't count. I'm a man with 80's hatchback time attack dreams and can't let go.

the front fascia is too tall, the headlights need to be squished slightly
