mod has a ton of small issues which bother me, like the clipping range selector, non moving shifter (and the automatic one which moves forwards and back instead of up and down) etc
Good to see that most people are enjoying the mod, if you encounter bugs please let me know. Due to the combination of having a lack of time and many parts to check some issues might have been overlooked. Can you explain what I should see? I'll take a look for a future update if I can make a config with a 'unique' feeling to it. Downside of having many configs is that they all need updating if things change, and that takes a lot of time and is a tedious boring job. Please let me know which issues you encounter. I recognize the issues with the automatic shifter, I've fixed it for a next update. The reference nodes changed some time ago. But I do not recognise that the manual shifter doesn't work, at least at my computer the 'oldstyle' manual shifter moves as it supposed to (?) Indeed the range selector clips with this oldstyle manual floor shifter, I'll take a look if I change this one or create a fitting oldstyle range selector. The mesh of this oldstyle manual shifter was made before the manual shifters were able to move, I believe it is even older than the official manual shifters.
Haven't checked the mod myself but from the image provided it looks like a config has more than one shifter loaded & one is warped.
Ah, right. The smaller shifter is the range selector, it is original content. The reason the oldstyle manual shifter looks a bit weird is that the shape of the oldstyle dash makes it a bit hard to have a functional shifter which does not clip into said dashboard. I'll take a look if I can improve it a bit.
I KNOW I SHOULD NOT WRITE THIS I KNOW. but i got a slight question: the mod works perfectly fine no issues involving it, however somehow this affects the Gavril grand marshal´s textures. Making the windshield of the car look weird. i just want to know how is this possible and if i can fix it. has anyone else noticed it?
I do remember having issues with the Grand Marshal’s windshield and gauge cluster at one point, and I do believe I had this mod at the time. I believe what was happening with the windshield is that it was reflecting the ground below it into the viewpoint, which is pretty odd behavior. It would be nice to see if it could be fixed, if it’s related to this mod at all.
the reason i know this mod is rralted to the issue is that when you deactivate this mod AND CLEAR THE CACHE, the issue goes away. so i can confirm it is this mod that causes the issue
so, is there a " temporary fix " i can do to the issue or i have to wait until the next update of this mod?
there is no issue with this mod and the Grand Marshel, I use this mod constantly I even currently have it installed, and I have never experienced this issue.
Actually it does seem to be affecting the glass texture of the Grand Marshal. D-Series Mod (Not Installed vs Installed):
I noticed it also makes it almost impossible to see out of the windshield because it reflects the ground below. My theory is that it flips the textures of the glass so it acts like the outside of the glass on the inside and vice versa
Hi, thanks for reporting. I've been checking if there was some kind of reference to a fullsize materials within this mod; I wasn't able to find any but I found a unused (hopefully) flexbody part in one of the .dae's in this mod having the 'fullsize_glass' material. I've removed the part and it seems it fixed the issue. I've got no clue why this caused a problem. Before: After: Do you agree this seems to be fixed?
It probably is fixed which is great, I think the best way to tell would be to go to another map and see if the windshield reflects the ground below if from interior cam. That was the biggest issue that I experienced.
