    There is this rc car version of the hoonicorn it's called the zd racing ex07 on aliexpress it has a very cool alternate color scheme that looks like one of kenblock's subaru's id like to see you add that!
    and also i don't know if someone has done it already but the pink 4wd hillclimb porche that would be so cool if it could be added as well

    ADHD me cant focus on one thing so here we go.

    started working on the V1 exhaust system. which made me realize how badly inaccurate eyeballing such a massive project gets you....
    the entire chassis was made in a way that i could not get the exhaust to fit without it hanging too low... so i had to re-model some section of the chassis.

    but this complicates things an f ton... because if i move the frame model, its suspension also changes place... and i dont wanna spend the next month re-doing the entire suspension jbeam because i moved the chassis about an inch up...

    so it ended up letting the suspension arm hang a bit lower. i dont really like it but eh, unless i get the damn cad model with all measurements ill never get this model perfect.....
    if i raise the suspension about an inch i also got to start modifying everything in the jbeam. which will soon start getting painful...
    suspension is my worst enemy so far :( so if i can avoid adding more suspension work ill surely avoid it...


    also started re-working the hub models i made YEARS ago which was way too high poly.
    the old hub has 2444 verts... way too high poly for something you barely notice..

    just started simplifying it but new lower poly vs high poly here can show a bit of a difference.. considering removing even more... but i got sidetracked with other stuff xD

    also considering doing the high poly to low poly bake thing.. but i need to learn that whole process all together.
    but it would simplify the model a ton.

    and if things goes well, we will have all versions of the skins available as well. but this means a lot of work has to be done for all the extra colorable nick nacks that changes on each skins....
    ill update yall when there is more progress on that...





    I have a request for the community...
    i need the help of someone who could get me 2 models from 3dcadbrowser...

    these models as far as i know, are EXACTLY THE SAME PARTS ON THE HOONICORN!!!

    my goal is to re-create the hoonicorn as accurate as possible, so if someone could do me a massive favor and manage to grab me those 2 models, id get to work on re-modelling a low-poly version of the cad model for this mod.
    pretty please someone help me get those models.





    And, i just wanna say a massive thank you for the community, since the release of this mod so far ive only had positive feedback, and im extremely happy so far.

    if everyone is happy, im happy.

    im gonna keep working on this mod for as long as there are things to work on.
    and as long as im alive




    if one day i ever get the cad models and exact measurements of this vehicle, im starting this WHOLE PROJECT FROM SCRATCH FOR THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE QUALITY.
    i hate this eyeballed mess of a project nothing makes sense but hey at least it looks and works good in beamng.

    Is anyone else not getting sound from the engine? Also, the rims for me on the Hoonicorn are the default rims from BeamNG and not the custom ones for the Hoonicorn.

    that is a weird bug... that would also be the first time id get report like this.

    my personal bet is. the download got corrupted for some random unknown reason....
    try re-downloading both files and try again.
    also, depending on your user folder it could be a good thing to clean it up once in a while, clear the cache & etc...

    worst case scenario, verify steam files and delete your user folder to start fresh.
    when i do this i usually backup my screenshots folder, as well as all my personal configs in the vehicle folder. and any other stuff i wish to keep.

    Thanks for this awsome mod
    Just wanting to let you know that your forgot to make an horizontal symetry on the text for the right side of the Police skin (text and logos are reversed)

    Also just wanted to know if you could include a template with the UVs for better skins plz

    and for the police skin. the only reason i have not already released a quick update to fix this is because ive got potentially 3 more skins in the works right now that is on the way. (V1. V3 and V4 :p)
    but there will be even more police skins, thanks to Shados who made 4 extra skins. they are awesome and the police skins looks way better then mine lol.

    yesterday i just finished up modelling the V1 hood, and started working on the v1 skin as well.
    but for the V1 update i still have to finish modelling the exhaust, header, intake and etc.... there is still so much stuff to do.....

    so the next update, if i bunch all of this new stuff together all at once, there will be 7 new skins and some new configs as well as the V1 in the next update.
    but no ETA, idk myself when i have time to work on mods, sometimes i plan on modding and stuff comes up... life is full of surprises...


    but the update is in the works. ;)

    Oh btw, the titanium exhaust looks weird, like to much weird colors
    If you want I made one very close to the real exhaust:

    (yes looks blurry here but looks good ig as it gives a smooth looking metal effect)

    Oh btw, I guess you thought already about that bu changing the exhaust painted part to fit every skin could be cool
    You just need to use the .skin.[skinname] in the materials file
    But I guess you already know that and you already thought of that

    ah no worries it happens lol.

    did you make that texture?

    for the exhaust, i didnt like how the purple goes back to the turbo. and i was thinking about re-doing a few bits from there to make it look better. also add a weld line hehe
    but its really a difficult thing to get just right. ill see what i can do about it when i get there lol.
    i know i gotta add another skin system for the turbo colors lol.
    and im still learning how to texture.

    if anyone has good tips on how to make welds, id love to raise the quality even more if i can.


    also, depending on the timeline of when you look at the turbo exhaust, the color hue is more drastic.

    i know id love to get it closer to the 1st pic, which is why its currently all colored and not even grey.
    but i also know that its missing some of the grey ish metal at the tip.



    and future planned stuff.

    V3 is white.

    and V4 the turbo BOV downpipe goes up on the hood, unlike all 3 variants where the BOV downpipe goes right behind the driver pedals

    like i said, ive still got a ton of work to do. but its in the works xD
    im planning everything officially on the hoonicorn. and more. :cool:

    to be honest i can work with any format. been porting models from various format for about a decade now lol so its not an issue for me.

    but the most useful ones are the most used ones in blender. example: obj, dae, fbx.
    they would be the easiest to work with.


    and whoever can get me those models ill be extremely thankful for it. you would help me bring quality accurate parts for this awesome mod for everyone to enjoy.
    i want accuracy for this mod and these parts are legitimate hoonicorn parts.
    i cant use these cad models but if i can get my hands on them ill be able to re-model a game friendly low poly version for this mod.

    so a major thanks for even trying to get your hands on them..

    woa that is pretty damn good looking.
    and really closer to anything i could do.

    ive got a lot of work to do before the update, but when the update drops ill make sure to update the credits and include this nice new texture.

    thanks a ton for the nice texture. it makes it look way better.
