I think of the Claria more along the lines of a Mercedes E, Ford Granada, Lancia Trevi. It is an Executive car in European understanding of the word. In the US it would only be a mid-size.

I mean a hatch could exist with similar styling but the car would be entirely different including the name, the current platform is far too wide to reasonably get turned into a hatchback
it makes near no sense, itd make sense on a first gen civic type car with claria styling, i even sketched something out to better demonstrate it
