Update Speculation thread

april 19th sounds way to far fetched im 90% sure it will be sooner

 

it can be anytime from next week. Muye just uploaded a video, so that means he wasn't busy making the video for the new beamng version, which leads me to the conclusion that he could be seen making the video next weekend. this is just my idea.

Nah, I still stand my ground. According to, like, half of the people here, the update has been dropping tomorrow for at least two weeks now.

While some people have said that we are getting a coupe 800, I feel that the orange car in the back is most likely a high-performance version of the 800 sedans with the ttv8. Also, It would make sense for the sedans to use a transverse engine with front-wheel or all-wheel drive rather than rear-wheel drive, not the longitudinal rear-wheel/all-wheel drive system that the current 800 series wagon.

 

How does that make more sense? I figure that not engineering two completely different drivetrain designs into a single platform would make more sense. BMWs and Mercedes sedans/wagons/coupes have been RWD for as long as I can remember. Audi tends to stick with AWD on their larger stuff because FWD wouldn't be beneficial in any way to a luxury/sports car, even if it's technically possible to do FWD because Audi manages to make AWD stuff by stuffing the entire engine in front of the front wheel centerline and using a transaxle. FWD could be achieved by removing the driveshaft and turning the center diff into a spool/welding it.

 

0.29 will be the minivan update if any beamng devs are reading this, i'll give you a half-eaten whopper for a official minivan

 

I'm personally hoping for a modern pickup truck before we get a minivan. I mean think of all the different stuff you could do with one (Offroading, racing, drag racing) plus we get 1-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1/2-ton models!

 

A modern bruckell pickup with the bastion engines would be awesome!

 

Would be pretty neat but i could think we would get the minivan first as many wanting it for years and a modern truck wouldnt deliver any new features for offroading that other vehicles dont already have besides modern electronics but who craves for a Offroad drivemode?
But in the end of the day the devs always manage to pull up a surprise you could end up totally right in the end!
