Hot take: the remasters lack in custom parts. While the new body and refreshed styling is cool, it was a great opportunity to add more custom body panels or performance parts and embrace the customization possibilities in Beam. Yet, it seems that both the 800 and K-series are still continuing the OEM-only theme with base/premium/race kits.

Like, c'mon, this doesn't even have Stage 1/2 turbos.

Why does the 4.4l V8 in the rennspecht 800 rev up to 9000 rpm? I don't think that should be possible in something that isn't a supercar.

I believe the Audi 4.2 from the 2000s could do close to 9000 in the 2008 rs4

Probably a hommage to the BMW S65 revving up to 7000.

I really love the new content of the modern ETKs. The very first variant I drove was the 844 250, meaning the Sedan body with the 250hp 2-liter gasoline I4, with the 8-Speed Automatic, of course.
I like the way the new (and official) Sedan body looks, its three-box shape is a lot better balanced than I expected it to be, given the fact that the 800 has a long hood and I had only gotten used to the looks of the Wagon body.
Sound-wise, I'm really glad the Ibishu I4 sound got away from the 2.0 gas I4 because, if anything, we're talking about a cutting-edge I4 engine and that sound just wasn't appropriate.
Also, I was right about the clear-glass taillights being part of the EUDM variants, since that first variant I drove is a USDM car, with the red rear turn signals.
The Heritage Editions look ace, to my understanding, they seem to evoke memories of the old ETKs. The Rennspecht models are certainly amongst my favorite variants and they look tremendous! And the Knallhart looks very macho, plus the 3.0 gas I6 is a beast in this case and I'm really glad the Knallhart nameplate carries on!
As for the engines, it's great that we have number tags showing the HP rating of each variant, since the modern ETK nomenclature isn't very helpful in that respect. Plus, the numerous ECU options give us endless possibilities!
But the Diesel versions should have the Diesel Locking Torque Converter, just like before the refresh.
    Overall, I'm really impressed! ;)

    P.S.: R.I.P. 8-Speed DCT, you will be missed! :p

Nope, they advertised it revving to 8500 from the very beginning. It's based on the S85, after all!

    Gotcha!;)
BTW, I noticed something else about the 800: there is only one rear fog light and it's on the left hatch/trunk taillight. I believe it should have a rear fog light on the right side too because, I mean, it already has one reverse light on each side, so it would be good for the sake of symmetry.

The update brought cool things but there are some problems too:

Black part on glass textures visible from inside

    Beam navigator clips through windshield

Back glass defrost lines are too bulky and sharp

K-series has sport/comfort, traction control on/off and auto hold buttons while ETK-800 doesn't

Center console is strange on both cars, incase you decide to change it here's layout suggestion for ETK-800 (big dark blob is a cup holder)

Rough stitch textures on steering wheel and gear shifter

Passenger floor mat is copied from driver side and doesn't make sense

Gauge needles have wrong angle and clip into the dash

Automatic gear shifter doesn't move for me
Indicator stalks move forward/backward instead of up/down

Also, since the 4.4 V8 is also available in the 800, some "848/858" badges should also exist in the options, for anyone who wants to swap the V8 in for making an 848 ttSport+ or an 858 ttSport+! :)
Plus, the shark fin antenna on the carbon fiber roof should also be dark, for a stealthier appearance. It's making quite a contrast now that it's body coloured! :)

oh yeah, i definitely wish the devs can make the left part of the gauge cluster a usable screen like this in the next update. i mean, they were able to put a screen on the K series in 0.26 (took them long enough), so i bet it would be pretty easy to add this

also rename the 800 to the L-Series haha italian man funny

Carbon fibre roof does not reduce the cars weight. Is that intentional? Could be just a carbon wrap after all.

They probably faced the same issue they had with the carbon-ceramic brakes of the Scintilla (and, most probably, the ones of the modern ETKs that were just introduced): the difficulty of making them actually weigh less than their steel counterparts without any bugs getting in the way.
Hope this issue gets resolved sometime in the future.

While we're on the topic of the carbon fiber roof, here's an idea: why not offer this part option for the 800 Wagon and the K-Series as well? It would be very cool to see a Wagon with a carbon fiber roof, we already have the FCVs offering this option!

Hey, since it´s a german car it is alright with the foglight. Here in germany the cars only have one rear foglight, so for me it would be pretty unrealistic to have both rearlights have a foglight, greets from germany ;)

I had all 3-Series generations in my mind, which actually do have two rear fog lights, regardless of the bodystyle. But it's ok!
    Greetings from Greece!! ;)

This would be the best feature ever.
I think all cars should have a way to see drivemode without needing a HUD.

Just noticed something else: the extra turbo boost/hp/torque on ttSport/ttSport+ modes is no longer present. I miss that feature.
Plus, a race exhaust should also be available for the V8 in the 800.
