I found a bug (i think), after 2-5 minutes the game will freeze for a few seconds, then it will overlay all desktop icons on top of the beamng, and then it goes back to normal.
I have the same problem, which is why I launch the game with the BeamMP launcher and then deactivate the mod afterwards. I don't know why but it runs smoother like that then launching it with Steam. I still get the effect some rare occasions but it's much better in my experience. Hope this helps, and sorry for not having a definite solution --- Post updated --- I'm loving your time trials. I completed the longest one (180 km or something) three times and my times are between 50 and 70 minutes. It's very fun to race the cars around and knowing when to save fuel and when to push so you make it to the end.
This has already been fixed and the plates have generally been reworked (not only do the current ones state yokohama is in tokyo, the map is barely even in yokohama so they've been replaced with proper minato city ones now) and should be included in the next release version, although I have no clue when that will be
I haven’t gotten to try it on the new update yet but doesn’t this use the same plates as your yakuza maps? So since you updated those it would also fix these plates?
I did the plates for the shuto and they were based on the same ones by Ezo as the yakuza map ones were, the shuto plates are their own unique ones for the area (that's wrong in the old/current release version but that's besides the point) so I've fixed them along with the others and redone them to the same standards as the rest of my plates. Incase anyone fancies a bit of zip file surgery themselves here's the fixed plates, you'll need to go into the c1 file to remove the vehicles > licenseplates folder though to prevent conflicting so they work properly. The full list of changes is fixed texture setup so the reflectivity is normal, fixed the specular maps, updated the location itself so it actually makes sense for the map (and isn't named wrong) and tweaked the font setup so that the lettering outline boxes no longer clip above the normal map for the plate edges so they look much better up close now
its even in this version when you use the ct editor widget that comes with the mod you can turn on the rain and the road is wet and slippery
Yea that's a bug in pretty much all of BeamNG if you add rain --- Post updated --- Also, I have done the super long time trial again with a better fuel saving strategy, saving lots of time and finishing in under 50 minutes
I figured out a fix for that and in the next version of map, it won't happen. I was a bit hyped that I managed to add nicely looking storm (more visible in spoilered video) to the game that I recorded video even if update is not finished The whole street is wet when raining however, puddles do not add an additional effect like in Forza Motorsport 6.
It's empty. And it hits much more when you're looking at cinematics like those than when you're driving there on your own.
