Trying to watch roadkill and do homework at the same time is a bad idea.

 

Learned in friend's 1990 Civic DX, did not stall a single time. Win.
Also made quick and dirty video trying to get the exhaust note but it was mostly just rumbling and vibrating shit.

 

Got the new 7970 in. Back to 130k ppd.

 

Have they fixed the issue with the WU's yet?

I want to get folding again; it's just not cold enough yet.
Once the temps start being below freezing, I'll be on it near 24/7.

 

Yeah, Alabama has been having cooler days too. Yesterday was about mid 40s. I considered ducting my PC to my window so it can heat all the air it pulls through but we are renting so it's probably a bad idea. Oh well. This is seriously the coolest running card ever. In about 25c ambient it never goes over 70c with 35% fan. I love this card.

 

Mine never goes over 64c

 

When I ran Furmark on my R7 250x (720p 2 FSAA) for like 2-3 hours it didnt go over 75c. When I tried folding it topped at 68ish.

Folding on my R9 270 heats it up to about 65c.

 

I'm sure I could get it that cool, but is yours silent?
It can also be cooled near-passively by my side panel fan until I hit about 70% usage. The only thing I don't like about it is how much it sags. Next card might have a backplate. (Cough 970)

Nevermind, it died again. It was the same card (serial number and all that) but I was thinking they actually made it work. I'm hoping for a free advanced RMA. I'll be honest, if they make this hard I'll just complain on anandtech. (they have a rep there) I don't want to deal with this.

Wait. You just got an RMA for a card that died again, then it died again? Heh..

Anyway, yeah. My R9 270 is completely silent with the Twin Frozr even with my custom fan profile. (I don't like how slowly the fans run at stock.)

At least I can't hear it over my case fans anyway. (I'm deaf anyway. Hell, my old P4 basically had a jet engine for the CPU fan.)

I can't say anything because I'm out (looking at you gigabyte) but I'm sure it would brighten the outlook if someone could give us 10kppd.

Kinda. We would overtake them in 21 years, but only move up 3 spots. The people in between us and them are faster so we wouldn't pass them. Also, we would be passed by a lot of people and fall even farther back.

We have Dalek at 6k ppd though, so we've got that going for us. Which is nice.
