At least they didn't claim that they made it. For a second though, lets talk about Avtomeishen lol --- Post updated --- Also funny how I participate in so many threads for mods I don't have (yet ), for example, this one
Hi @Thomas A-N So i Saw the mod and i have a few things to Say : When did the vehicle production started and ended ? I might have a config Idea if it has ended in 2016. The "rally" version seems more like a daily aventurer . Group B rally car were RWD and WRC cars were limited to 300hp . I have a lore explanation of the leapway concept that explains why they did it .
I haven't really thought about the production length. How about 1989-2002 for the first generation and 2003-2013 for the second generation that I'll start working on after the final update? That should give you enough leeway for your ideas. I was aiming for more of a Crew 2 style Rally Raid car with the Rebel, but I could always adapt it for the second generation if you like? I'd love to hear your ideas about the Leapway lore. I'm working on vehicle descriptions for the next update (along with a new car) and I could add your lore!
So , in the 2010's Era , there was a New thing called "downsizing". It consisted of making smaller engine with turbo and direct injection, so it Can do more power than some bigger N/A engine, with more fuel efficency . Although, it has been stopped due to reliability and pollution reasons . The second generation could have a downsized version named "FE" (for "Fuel Economy) that was made between 2011 and 2013 (and maybe , make it what stopped the car's production) For the rally raid version , i think replacing the roof rack for a roof light would be good. And making a livery , adding a bodykit would make it more look like a rally raid car. And here's my lore for the leapway : -While in 1997 the Paxel compagny was thinking of a New variant for the Walrus , to the point of starting to make the second generation, SUVs became more and more adapted for road uses : lower suspension, bigger and Wider rims for smallest tire, etc. And one day , as the company's chief watched the employe's cars from the window of his office, he notice the amount of modern SUVs wich are diferent from the one in his childhood. Then he suddently had an Idea . So he called his engineers for showing his Idea : the leapway. A vehicle that represent what's an actual SUV . Even if the company lacked of experience in vehicle like that , the leapway was goodly made and has been selled all the way until 2002 , to Say that Paxel ended the Walrus production beautifully. (Feel free to change things , it's some debut i'm having Into doing lore)
I LOVE THAT! I'll put that in the description when I get time. Would a 1.2L or 1.1L engine be small enough for the 2011 FE? The original model uses a 1.3L engine.
Try the 1.1L engine. With 3 or 4 cylinders . Make a double pipe for extra power , tweak the starter and make it run on Ethanol. And remember , downsized car engine use some (maybe Big) turbo (maybe try 2 turbo) and injectors instead of carburator.
I think I'll go with the 3-cylinder option. That seems to be getting more and more common in modern hatchbacks.
I've just come up with a pretty good suggestion - a special concept variant based on this (2007) This has a W12, but for equal insanity, you should toss in a V10, mid-engined. The rims also have to be quite large, as all concepts in the 2000s were. Top speed of at least 195-201 max (speed limiter if there must be) Around 650hp should do fine, any more would be too much and any less would be disappointing. Just a suggestion though!
That'll be brilliant for the final 1st Gen update! I'll get to work on that right now! I'll start with the second gen vehicles either next week or the week after.
Perhaps a small V12 would fit . And did you know this thing is legit RWD and rear engined ? It causes the weight proportion to be like....1TON AND 200 KG AT THE REAR AND 250KG AT THE FRONT . And if it's considered , i Wonder if it will be Rear engined like irl
I'm in the game right now, and it seems that a front-engine AWD setup is the most I can do. I should be able to adjust the weight and power distribution to make it better. How does a 4.5L V10 sound?
Damn, a V10 in the front?! Wonder how that'll work. Also, make sure the AWD is rear-biased to the maximum allowed value or about 10 front, 90 rear.
Can you search if the W12 engine is smaller than 4.5L ? --- Post updated --- EDIT : i feel like WE started talking like we're engineers making a car together
It really does feel like that. I've just looked it up and the W12 is a whopping 6.0L engine! (I'm just adding the last bits. I'll say one thing though, it's FAST.)
Oh well , let's do with what we have . For something like that , it should be named the SD for "Sport Demon" . I Wonder if we Can continue engineering discussions like this one . It feels good and relaxing , at least for me .
I don't see why we couldn't. I'm enjoying this as well! Anyway, I've nearly finished the car. I'll export it now and get some pictures. @SmokeyDokey, I've had to adjust the power distribution slightly. It's now F: 15-R: 85. Is that still ok?
