I wonder what the wagon design of this car will be like.(*`▽´*)Because the real skyline r32 doesn't have wagon body type. This is enough for us to have a lot of idea about design.
Maybe it will be like stratum in GTA.

One of the prototypes of this car is skyline. It has almost the same front design as R32.

Similarly, the streamlined flat body is more in line with the positioning of this car.( • ̀ω•́ )✧The slender tail makes it the most distinctive wagon in the game
    I think it's the same in BeamNG.ก(ー̀ωー́ก)

I believe what he means by a 'wagon variant' is a body very similar to the Nissan stagea, which was essentially a 4 door skyline but a wagon (very similar engine options too), which is often converted to have r34 body panels, creating an r34 wagon

I have a different opinion, ╮( •́ω•̀ )╭R34's body panels looks wonderful when connected with Nissan stagea. But R32 may not be very suitable, and not many people will do it in real life.If it is real come true, it will look very strange, like putting the heads of player in Roblox and the body of player in Minecraft together and putting them in Minecraft's world.╭(°A°`)╮
I think, perhaps a car body tail that perfectly conforms to the design language of the front is much better than the product of two cars put together.(´๑•ω•๑`)
Moreover, Nissan has not officially produced skyline r32 wagon as cool as Stratum. Why don't we use the opportunity in the virtual world to make up for this defect?(*≧▽≦)

Yeah that is the plan, the wagon version will likely ending up looking like the Stratum

I'll probably go with more of a 'what if the Skyline Wagon cintinued past the R31 approach'

so it will be basically like this shape wise to suit the R32 lines. Might use the likes of the Stagea taillights but the wagon will be more rounded than the Stagea, and likely use the same front styling as the sedan/coupe
yeah that is kinda how the sedan should look, tho I might give it new tails seeing as the coupe tails are sedan like and the sedan should also have different tails ideally
perhaps shape wise go with C33 laurel ones, with high end trims recieving sound inner taillights in the Laurel shape bezels

Yeah I don't think the Stagea's squarish lines would look that great on a 32 style front, some people even dislike the 34 front on them lol:p
so yeah will likely go with more of a stratum style shape, just with a bit better proportions and such

may also change the taillights, maybe make it so with a bit of sheetmetal work, the round taillights can be fitted to the wagon, much like they can be on the R31

The Stratum is pretty great but it gets weird from the beltline up. The curved D pillar is the main thing, the tailgate glass would be very expensive to manufacture as a result
It wouldn't make much sense for a relatively small-volume car like a hypothetical R32 wagon.
Something else you might want to avoid is a rear bumper with a "dip" in it, like this Honda Accord

Compare that to a "sportier" wagon, like a 3-Series Touring. Completely flat bumper. The same goes for most European wagons at the time, so this is probably a design element that Nishino would incorporate in order to look more sophisticated.

For the overall design, something like an Audi 80 Avant would look nice

You could also try and go for a pillarless design like the Subaru Legacy, kinda emulating a 5-door hardtop. Hardtop = fancy in 1980s Japan, right?

yeah, the wagon, much like the R31, will be more of a 'sporty' wagon, so bumpers will be shared with the sedan with no dip, and wheelbase will remain the same:D
shape wise will probably go with something similar to a 90 accord, which is where the stratum also seems to get it's rear inspration from in part

and yeah as with the coupe, the sedan and wagon will feature sleek, frameless doors (though with a discreet b pillar)

idk but IRL it ran at -400,000 cars for JP only, add RHD exports into the equation as bakasan mentioned earlier and you get a good few cars.

yeah, I wouldn't exactly call the R32 a low volume production, I mean they made about 43,900 GT-Rs which for a car of its type is quite a lot lol, then there are the other non GT-R models which I suspect they made a lot more than 40k (though I don't have a number on me)

Anyways, front suspension modeling I think I can call done for now:cool: now I will just have to jbeam it, make sure it handles fine geometry wise (making adjustments if needed), then time to do the textures

that's not much at all, you wanna talk about 'so many' cars, they made around 930,000 1st gen celicas, 160,000 of which ended up is the USA.

I mean they made more R32s than Beat or Cappuccino which is crazy considering how much cheaper the Kei cars are to make

    Bit of an idea:
Nissan never officially made a 4 door gtr, would be awesome af if you put all the gtr bits on the sedan (including aws if its in the mod).
(no idea if this is planned or not, don't come at me if it is and everyone knows lmao)

ik the rear of the car is pretty much set in stone, but for a sedan maybe primera tails would be more 'export-market'-friendly.

interesting, not sure exactly what you mean by 'export friendly' though:p

but yeah the Sunrise will for the most part be a JDM only model (with only exports being probably UK and AUS in small numbers), so export models won't be a super high priority
